He and other Brits scrounged money from our already bankrupt government and made it a thing, teaching the Germans how to make the production work. Then, very stupidly IMHO we simply handed it all over to the Germans without even keeping a tiny stake in it. Again, IMHO, considering how much WW2 had cost Great Britain because of German aggression and the money and work WE (not the Americans) put into it, WE should have kept at least a 51% shareholding in it. It would have helped US rebuild our economy after the war and after the terrible way America screwed us after it.
