Fucking love these guys, the ease with which debbie produces those vocals gets me everytime. New album (the songs that came out, that is) sound killer as well, can't wait!

I bought the sv20c 4 years ago and it sounded good but was missing something so i returned it. If you want the sound you need a 100 watt plexi The jtm sounds the beefiest and most authentic to the jtm45

Watching lefties play is so off-putting. It looks so unnatural.

No, it's not brilliant at all. I've had two Class 5s and they were both anything but brilliant. I'd say they were muddy, muffled, dull sounding. Needed so much treble boost in the incoming signal chain to get a reasonably balanced tone, it was annoying. Not a bad amp, but definitely not one that has a lot of treble response.

Can the half power switch be thrown when the amp is out of stand by?

Glad he was successful with his power trio lineup of Dewar, and Isidore/Lordan. But he sure powered out Procol Harum with Whisky Train and Simple Sister. I think Gary Brooker had the same sentiment as Keith Emerson, "a profound mistrust of lead guitarists". Have seen him through several different band incarnations, and they never disappointed. I met him about 8 years ago. His advice to capture a shred of his tone was to "play it loud". As they say, a true magician never reveals his secrets, haha.

I wish everyone would follow Joe's lead- no pun intended- and STOP micing and processing the true sound out of every amp they demonstrate. This amp sounds like Eric Clapton playing through a Marshall in 1966, the way it should. Watch these other folks on KZbin, and it sounds like they're all playing through the same fuzzy, $79 amp from Amazon. Keep up the great work, Joe and Marshall.

Clean tones are nice. Warm and dry, yet spanky. Hint of glass, but soft and round with good mids. Gain sounds nice. Got that OT sound in there a bit. I’m afraid to look at the price! I have an old DSL20 that has sounded like poop since I got it. I suppose if I hadn’t bought that first so-called Marshall, I might budget more for this one, but it’ll likely be quite high. So. Supply and demand I guess.
