doens't sound good to me at all. too boxy, like they've put an speaker in a cartboard box and used a 3$ amplifier in front of it. My orange micro crush sounds better, and that also sounds like sh*t

"Really clean sound", haha! ...People these days are taking it too far with the overdrive. There's no note definition anymore, no oomph, no attack, no balls. Too much gain smooths out the sound more than anything else. You can cut people's heads off with a really twangy clean sound. Yes, even with a Marshall. Just ask the old gods.

Why not just play using the DSL20's built-in distortion? It would be much more informative to hear the speaker with the amp from its range. That way we can also hear how good the amp sounds. The sound samples that Marshall used to have on its website for the DSL20 sound too good to be true. I have tried replicating them using the same settings through an MX112, and got nothing like those samples on the website.

Incredible amp wow

Can I run my single 16ohm marshall 412 cab at 8ohms in the back of my marshall dsl100hr or does it have to plug into the 16ohm input only

Nice (smaller) amp, which does one thing, but this good: Sounding like a bigger Marshall (Plexi). Well, not exactly maybe, but in a nice and well usable way, without 100W blowing you away, although the 5W also are really loud. Two things I noticed, this is not an "everything at ten amp", it needs some proper adjustment, especially concerning two points, unless these sounds are exactly, what you are looking for. So for me this means, avoid (too much) power amp sagging and avoid (too much) bass fuzz. The intense bass is nice, if you want to get the impression of a bigger amp, but a little bit too intense maybe at higher Volume settings, but lower Bass settings solve this problem. I personally think, an additional negative feedback loop would have improved the sound, but my favorite anyway is an adjustable one (not Presence, but feedback intensity), but this hardly any amp company offers. Interesting circuit design, also with some nice points for personal modding. A classic meanwhile anyway.

I think this amp is better than the 800 I love mine ,friends say it’s a junk amp,until the play it stand in front. And feel it on 7 and they still say it sounds like crappie, I say it’s mine don’t play it. Then I play it it feels the love I have in my mine great stuff.

"And now for the completely CLEAN channel," ( grunty power-chord crunch sound comes out) Maybe you also need to reduce the guitar volume, either on the guitar, or with a floor volume control,... because there's no way that " clean sound " was clean! Maybe it's like young and old, quite relative to wherever the person speaking sees it from... you're young ( if you're younger than me,), or old ( if you're older than me). This guy must live on distortion, to view something only slightly less distorted as "clean" I guess this makes me Mr clean, because his least distorted setting would be my most distorted preset , maybe with the tube screamer added for extra. Distortion, overdrive, crunch, or whatever you call it is highly addictive! You start using only a little, and soon you're an exclusive metal-head, and if confronted with a clean solid state amp and no pedal, would be rendered all but completely unable to play anything.
