All these mobo manufacturers better start humbling themselves. Asrock Taichi is $300-$400 & the Taichi boards have been getting some of the highest stable overclocks the past few generations. Asus is trying to sell their board for $999 it probably won't even compete with the Taichi.

@Dante_S550_TurboКүн бұрын
@@IcyyX_ nothing with 4x memory modules is going to run well, that's why some high end mobos don't even give you 4 slots. We have a limited amount of pci lanes you can't fully populate any of these motherboards and have a gpu at 16x, and your nvme's at 4x. Go 2 sticks intel fast as you can get, amd 6400mhz. I did 2 build upgrades with arguably the best configs on the market right now i'll dm you pc part picker links if it lets me. the ram is a lil under 8200 because the 8200mhz has loose timings.

I'm kinda interested in the ASRock Taichi and Taichi OCF. Though I have seen a few articles popping up recently of Gigabyte getting ready to release their Z890 Tachyon Ice motherboard with CAMM2. I'd like to wait and see some comparison reviews between CU-DIMM and CAMM2 performance before I make a decision on a board. Especially considering the costs of them these days.

@@0-B1 I see but what's about this? Bought an MSI X570 Unify (300 bucks) with an 3900x and 64 Gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM in 2020 and now (after only 4 Years!) one of the RAM sticks died. Now a have to decide either to buy quite expensive DDR 4 Ram and a 5950X (which is the max this excellent board could handle) and live with these limitations or move to an AM5 or Z890 platform. The x570 Unify would work for another 1000 years, but it simply isn't possible to add a modern CPU... It now would be an easier decision if I'd bought a cheaper board instead...

Ddr4 is cheaper than ddr5. Snag an 5800x3d or a 5950x depending on your needs. Youll get another 2 years of use before i would move to am5 and a x3d chip. @@sonnenschein1758

AUD$1200. 8 pin extra power to PCIe 5.0 PCIe 5.0 direct lane to CPU CUDIMM for 10000 speeds No Hyper-Threading Technology More powerful E Cores, overclockable. To me all this looks like tailor made for INTEL ARC Battlemage. If the full combo 285K (AUD$900)/CUDIMM RAM (AUD$650)/Battlemage (AUD$850)/MSI MEG Z890 ACE (AUD$1200) beats 5080 then it starts to make some sense.
