I guess everyone must have some sort of story about losing someone in one of these dangerous cars. My mother had two classmates killed in a VW bug. Glass was the enemy I'll leave it at that.

If they even had seatbelts chances are they were buried in the fold of the seat unused. The first thing to stop you in a crash would either be the steering column or the windshield!

No seatbelts or airbags and an all metal dashboard, so I imagine some of these people had teeth knocked out and needed facial reconstruction surgery.

Es ist erschreckend wie instabil diese zum Teil großen Limousinen sind . Als Oldtimer-Fan blutet einem das Herz wenn man diese wunderschönen Autos so zerstört dastehen sieht. 😢😢😢😢

Notice the VW at 1:16....looks like no big deal until you see the giant dent in the windshield frame from the drivers skull. Serious injury for sure!

People talk about how tough and long lived these cars and trucks were let me tell you the truth if you got 30 ,50 thousands miles out of one without major overhauls you were dam lucky and if you hit something hard you knew it cause the whole car was thrashed I know I used to drive them grew up in the 1960s.
