What gearbox are you using In this video? I tried installing a jack into my Arcturus and there’s a dumb micro switch controller that takes away the safety switch and adds pins in the way. Do you know if the cyma sport gearbox would work?

Was an honest question. Seems like you would sacrifice some fine motor skills... Like picking up the hopup screws for instance.

I am curious, do the 4runner carry a thermostat near the transmission passenger side? If yes, do you have to use a pin to keep it in a constant depress state?
@airsoftmechanic
@airsoftmechanic 4 күн бұрын
Not that I recall. From what I’ve seen, thermostats/bypass valves for the transmissions would be something you’d add yourself, and I’ve seen some mounted at the front.

how do you shoot with your right arm bent???
@airsoftmechanic
@airsoftmechanic 4 күн бұрын
I’ve learned shooting with my right arm straight doesn’t work unless if it’s absolutely necessary. And this was in my very early airsoft days. It just varies from person to person, and come to find out lots of people shoot with their elbows bent

The marksman barrel is pretty sensitive to user input all his shots to the left suggest a sympathetic movement curling his hand toward the left with a right hand grip and vice versa with the left dominant hand pull trigger back like you are pointing at your elbow one way to fix is practice pulling the trigger get your sight picture look at the front sight pull the trigger on a cleared and non loaded fire arm notice th e front blade if it moved when you pulled the trigger at all you got work to do and there is the range cadence phenomena where you rush your shots because of the shooting cadence of others. It happens subconsciously so you need to focus more

Are any of your exhaust hangers tensioned? Even with the same shorty headers. Both sides of my exhaust had to be pulled up from there OG resting positions about 2 inches vertical to even match up with the jba shorties. And now my exhaust is tensioned. One hanger next to muffler is squished up, the y pipe hanger on drive side is pulled apart. How’s yours?
@airsoftmechanic

The URD Y-pipe doesn’t come with exhaust hangers so it’s all tubing. For my car back exhaust, they’re still the same as before

Start at 6:11 and it’ll basically answer your questions. Now for what I like and don’t like… What I like: They’re cheap but they work, not too loud, makes the exhaust sound nice, noticeable increase in torque, they help the engine breathe better, they’re lighter than the stock headers What I don’t like: The mating surface looks sloppy, the chance of having an exhaust leak where the headers meet the block, I couldn’t avoid the Check Engine Light, these headers require cutting and welding so I had to pay a bit on labor (I prefer bolting on myself)
@MrLopez-lm4jk

@airsoftmechanic I just did mine today bro... I kept stock headers deleted cats put oxygen extendtenders to fool computer. put two resonator and a magnaflow exhaust. It's okay a Lil clappy when I punch it but nice at high and low speeds no check lights for me .. I think it was the best route

I second this. An adjustable gas block and heavier buffer will work wonders. I run an Odin Works adjustable gas block plus an H2 buffer in my 10.3” MK18 Mod 1. It’s a very pleasant rifle to shoot. Especially when shooting it suppressed.

This guy also giving very bad misinformation on replacing door handles I believe. I did same thing on my 4Runner following some other Toyota wannabe and ended up having to remove my door trim panel after finding out there was a step missing. Unfortunately with used cars, brittle 1:21 1:21 plastic clips and automatic door cable plastic parts do not always last and break after one or a few times of being removed. Point being, I had to buy another used door panel because of misinformation and it costs a lot. I watched the Toyota Sienna door handle replacement videos from knowledgeable KZbinrs and was finally able to put this left side door back to working condition. Step missing: get a medium/thick flexible wire and make a U-sized look. Before you insert the door handle rear side into the outside door frame, there is a metal latch that you need to pull back (spring tension), right near that insert area. Put the looped wire around this latch to pull it back. Push the new door handle rear side into so the latch is still pulled back by the wire loop and when the door handle is gently pushed in all the way, pull on one side of the loop wire to slip it out of the door. The push you door handle latch the rest of the way in. Insert the door lock mechanism and tighten it (I lost that small set screw dow the bottom of the door frame multiple times, might want to stock something under to catch the set screw. Finally, pull the door handle (opening the door), and it should return to its base position (spring mechanism). This is the proper way. I hope every 4Runner enthusiast reads this and don’t end up like me spending hundreds due to misinformation. 😅

3 things. 1. This isn’t a “How to” video. Just a video on me changing the door handles. Now at the time I could’ve done much better by saying what I did each step of the way 2. What I did worked for me, doesn’t mean it works for everyone. 3. You had to buy another door panel? I’m honestly curious how it led to that because you shouldn’t have to do that…

Transmission fluid is the one thing I never use non-Toyota fluid for. My 4th gen uses T-IV fluid and the local dealership charges about $7/quart, only 3 quarts for drain and fill. Not expensive, especially compared to repairs. Also would only get them from the dealership since counterfeits are numerous.

I got this but only cig lighter socket works, the one with the lid doesn’t,…. Do you know if there’s a fuse I need to add or look for?
@airsoftmechanic
@airsoftmechanic 29 күн бұрын
2 things I would recommend checking. 1. Look for the fuses under the steering wheel. The “PWR OUTLET 15A” fuse is what you want to check. If it’s bad, replace it 2. Pull the plastics out to make sure the small connector is seated properly, and the wires to make sure they’re not damaged
