the thing is I love Spartans as well but I feel like samurai is just elite at a point. so they have a better chance of Winning. they have so much good power especially their armour. I feel like they're more effective than Spartan

I think the phalanx system used by the Spartans may have frustrated the typical samurai style of fighting which was far better suited to fighting one-on-one. But combined with the guns and arrows of the samurai to thin them out, combined with their ability to eventually utilize the katana, I don't believe the Spartans would have prevailed.

Actually the rear Roman ranks would pass their pilums forwards to the front ranks, and the Romans would keep throwing their pilums at the enemy as long as possible if the enemy was still in range.
