How people would have the audacity to compare Ant and Dec to these two I will never understand. They are not fit to polish the boots of these comedic gods!

I miss these people so much. They epitomised the very best British humour. If there was one thing that truly united the entire UK for a few brief moments in the 1970s, it was the total joy that we all shared during and after the M&W Christmas shows. I believe one of their Christmas shows still holds the record for the highest ratings in British television history. It was always the highlight of the festive season programming schedule. They lifted the spirits of an entire nation. God bless all of them for the delight they gave us. May they all rest in peace.

It was great that nearly every distinguished British actor of the period admired Eric and Ernie and wanted to do a guest spot, mostly for the fun of it. Here it's Ian Carmichael.

I saw them at Gt Yarmouth in 1964, when I was 12. My brother in law laughed so much he spat out his cigarette, which went down the shirt neck of the man sitting in front of him, who's shirt started smoking! Eric and Erny were so funny. Happy days.

Kyogo not at last seasons level, Palma not a suitable replacement for Jota. Get another striker in who is not cup tied and ease Jota back in over next couple of months his form may have dipped but class will always be there and the welcome back he gets will make a huge difference in his form once he's match fit.

Can you imagine having watched Coronation Street in 1960 and then a few weeks later emigrating to Australia, only to return to England 63 years later, turn on the TV and find that the same programme was still airing on ITV. And they wonder why nobody watches terrestrial television any more. !! 🤪
