A very helpful review! I owned a top of the line Roomba about 10 years ago and it was nothing but trouble, needing to be replaced 3 times. I switched to a Botvac Connected which has functioned virtually perfectly for almost a decade. I was considering the s9+ simply because of it's insane deep cleaning ability but it looks like it may be more trouble than it's worth.

Most of the issues that he had with this robot i had it with the braava jet m6 (the mopping robot) from the same manufacturer, i have a vacuumn robot from another company and the braava looks dumb compare with the other robot while moving mopping, plus is inefficient at mapping and its mopping capabilities are not as good as marketed.

Would love an update now that the software's been heavily updated.

You finally answered my question about carpet fringe. My I7 does fine at 10X suction. I wondered about the S9 and 40X the suction. So since my rugs are fringe on the end, I feel the S9 is not for me. Thanks. I am going to take a look at the J series.

I just setup orbit RBS10 two pack and found it somewhat frustrating as it only found one of two satellites but then both turned on blue light and it worked

I have a pretty high transition about half to three quarters of an inch which goes from tile to carpet. Does it have a hard time? Transitioning up and down?

If you are looking to buy a Roomba I would highly recommend you stay away from the S9 and stick with the I7+ or even the J7+. I own 1 I7 and 2 I7+ Roombas and they are by far the most reliable of the Roomba’s I own. I also currently own 1 S9+ though have had 4 others over the years and they have all been a constant source of problems and become unusable. In each case their Tech support personnel have all been helpful but none have been able to ascertain what had gone wrong with the Roomba.

But will no brand produce a robot vacuum cleaner with all the functions? hhaha the function of mopping the floor was missing! and it could also have the function of recharging its base, its tank, with water, or even if possible, some other perfumed liquid, right? OR IS THIS ROBOT VACUUM CLEANER ALREADY EXISTING with all those functions I mentioned above? if the answer is yes, what is the name of it?

What a killer review, we were considering this model to upgrade from our Eufy vac but value no intervention. Will look at the ecovac osmo.

Mine never worked right, they finally took it back & gave me a $100.00 credit towards another one. Problem is, I paid $700.00 less then 2 years ago.

I looked at this because a friend of mine has one and they complained about the intervention needed. It made my wife cautious of these robots although the Roborock model we are looking into continuously gets INCREDIBLE reviews and is worth about the same as this brand new They have an S7 model and an S8 model with the self cleaning features, mapping and all of that, as well as great obstacle avoidance Do you have an opinion on that brand and models?

2-3 years of ownership. the tires are worn off, not to mention all the brushes filters and flops are replaced many times. now the bin sensors are gone. I have to send in $150 for repair. when it works, it works like a champ but I paid full price and I expected more. I think there are better models out there. I would not buy the S9+ again.

The most accurate review from all youtube. I have an i7 Roomba, despite it's a powerful automate vacuum you still need to clean your home in a longer time frame now. The only thing it does well is spare you from cleaning your home more frequently.
