If you don’t bring Rydia, it’s an instant Game Over as Bahamut will use a boosted Megaflare right at the start. It helps to enter this fight during a waning moon since black magic is weaker during a waning moon. Trust me, that opening Meteor will really hurt. You can’t hit Mysterious Girl with anything as they’ll always miss. Only Bahamut’s Megaflare can hit her. Bring Bahamut down to about 15000 HP, then if you rescued Asura and Leviathan, you win.

This boss is a great example of why Scan/Libra should work on bosses. How are people supposed to know that the water boss is weak to ice and not thunder unlike every other water enemy in the game?

Easy boss Once u had blinked them all just cast flare with golbez while ceodore and rosa cast shell and heal the Party,u should b surviving with a 80% chance.

The Maenad was a recurring boss done right. Memorable theme music and a boss theme that screams “dangerous!” At this point you know how serious you have to take her because you never even had a shot in the individual tales.

This fight was so hard in my end. Even though all of my party members were somewhere at levels 71 - 73. Maenad would ALWAYS cast meteor after Bahamut casts megaflare.

Electromagnetism completely petrifies the targeted party member, and NOTHING can remove it EXCEPT death/KOing the affected party member. Then just revive them like normal.

Fun fact: I think the mysterious girl casted her own demise by casting black hole. This spell removes all buffs and debuffs on the battlefield. Maybe it gave back Bahamut his conscience 🤣

Last time I fought this guy, I wanted to fight it right after Gilgamesh, just for the heck of it. I never spammed so many X-Potions, Phoenix Downs, Curaja, Reflect and Thundaga before but, damn, did it feel good after I won.

Why don't you ever have Rydia summon? Seems like her summons work better than black magic in most cases

What a terrible idea this game was. Final Fantasy games should never have sequels.. they're always dumb + any time they try to do the high resolution 2d, it just comes off looking like a bad RPG Maker game.

Seeing Bahamut deal 9999 7x over was a joy to see. Also it looks like bands aren't as strong as they are in the mobile version where they deal 20000+ damage by endgame!

* My actual pre fight dialogue, - Face my beautiful kursed zombie gimps first, then Lets Boogie !* haha.... ffs. (O.o) note to self, get a fire proof cloak..... Wait, I am an Archfiend. I know the Reflect spell too. Also a few other buffs are needed. why did he not buff the corpses, aswell ? *Feed the dead* is a terrifying move i use. they feed. on some poor, hapless POW. all undead allies of Scarmiglione become stronger & faster, for a few turns and get Toxic status. + 1 new fresh corpse ally to my side of battlefield. Also, I did not even use my *Virulent Breath* - Used only during Final form - That's a Blind/ zombification spell, if not hexed out/ cured, in 4 turns... I know their tactics.. i can win this ... hehe. Reflect saved Arch white wizard, ladys, life. all of them are equal threats, the old skool 4 heros, they must be killed in a specific order to truly stop them & weaken their team. This must have been fighting me on normal mode. :) Also the real dude speaks English & fluent Russian. for some odd paradox reason. 1 of the 4 Arch Fiendz, yea. Of Earth. Is .... also the most socially awful of the Arch Fiendz. I been playing these RPG Vidja games since i was 10 years old. Thats before some of you were born (O.o) They are True to life, in some vague ways. many, many years later. Beat him on the hardest mode, if u can. The victory feels better.
