how do you do it based on depth map color? like if i wanted to choose a color range on the depth map of 150,150,150 to 255,255,255 - i want the blur to start at 151,151,151 and get stronger as it goes toward 255,255,255 (which would be more accurate than your flat gradient technique.

Adding 'in Canvas' to the end of your video titles make it very confusing. In case you weren't aware, HTML 5 has an element called Canvas. I get your videos are for newbies and they don't seem to care, but if you care, these titles just make you look like you have never heard of HTML Canvas. I can't believe I have to explain this.

This channel, called HowToCanvas, is dedicated to teachers who use the Canvas LMS. They’re the target audience.
@Mahdi-bb4hg9 күн бұрын
@@HowToCanvas Then it should be called 'so and so in Canvas LMS'. I'm not here to argue, but you are essentially teaching web related technologies and you expect people to magically know you are talking about Canvas LMS, rather than the HTML Canvas?! Anyway, this is just a feedback. These are your videos and your channel. Do whatever you think is best for your audience.

Easy if you know how, hard and frustrating if you don't. The video goes too fast and skips over details. No problem if you are an expert. Note that sometimes the Gradient tool is not present on that left-hand panel. The method doesn't work if you happen to have the photo selected instead of the mask. Selecting Filter > Gaussian Blur makes it impossible to control the blur. My default is black/white, not white/black. Eventually I got it figured out. Thanks.

Great tutorial! I definitely want to try this out for a team bio page I have to design. I have a question--if I save my PowerPoint presentation as a PDF document, will the hotspots/pop-ups I designated translate over? Basically, will they work the same way in a pdf reader as they would in PowerPoint? Since we submit proposals in pdf format, I'd prefer to know if it will actually work before I get started. Thanks for any insight you have on this!

I've uploaded 6 audio files (all m4a) and have used the html code to successfully embed 3 of them, but the last 3 aren't working. It shows the player, but nothing happens on click. I've tried uploading new files, starting a new page from scratch and adding it, and nothing is working. The files play just fine when I use the built-in 'add media' feature with the ugly player. Any ideas?

Would it not be better to upload into your Canvas files and link from there so that you do not have to worry about the link to your Google or OneDrive? Then if you copy the classroom the file is always part of the course.

When I go to add an image to the text box, it only adds the very top part of the image and I can't figure out a way to reposition it so the image fits the wave like in your video. I've tried with several images too. Any ideas?

If you go to the shape ribbon, click the drop down on the crop button and select fill. You’ll be able to adjust how the picture fills the shape.

@@SeanNufer thanks for the prompt reply! I don't seem to have a crop option available. If I select the dashes in the text box, I get a 'Shape Format' ribbon that I can select, but there isn't a crop option to select like there is if you select an actual image and select the Picture Format ribbon. It's at point 3m 35s in this video where an image is added to dashes in the text box, if that helps?

@@SeanNuferjust to add to the above, occasionally a picture does drop in more centrally, but unsure how as I can't find that crop menu you mention. However, when it does drop in centrally it looks stretched. But in the video here, the image doesn't look stretched. Any idea how you stop the stretching, or limit it?

@@SeanNufer Thank you. You are so kind! I am a teacher and like to have nice Canvas courses. I have learned a lot from your videos. In this case, I want to create a "Video Library" page. The final goal is to have a page with 3 tabs and have about 4 videos per tab. I learned how to make tabs with you. Now I am just working on the Bootstrap grid.
