I remember in 2014 when nobody had heard of kyen. The hunters had specific terms for the different kinds of oud development in the trees. But at that point all the distillers put the wood all together to distill. They didn't care about honing in on a particular nuance, they just wanted higher yields. But that all changed in 2014 when I began to set aside the kyen from each harvest. It took years to accumulate enough kyen to actually distill, but it was so worth it. Like the finest pu'er we achieved a unique scent profile that others had glossed over for centuries. So I'm honored that the tradition continues and to give you this incredible 2020 batch of Rayong Kyen. For many this could be the only oud you ever need.
