i woud like to see a RoK revew, well done, at least to KvK1, better to SoC (it is not 4h, to understand and like this games you have to: 1 join a group before starting or right after starting the account 2 get in alliaces and make friends 3 know the game before so ou have to know what to do and to not do 4 mabe do some alliance leadership to get a feel for diplo strategy ecc if you like strategy 5 whait for te big group fights 6 don't even try to fight in early game

lets be honest here, anything past red alert 2 (expansions included) was extremely average and CNC 3 was the biggest fail in the series, lacked the C&C feel

While Titans has come along to a point where it's pretty fun to play and works well- generally- I was highly skeptical of this announcement from the start. Bit of an odd choice given the track record of their last title.

They're looking for a free ride, like they did in the past. think they can just add a new title and sell an unfinished game like they did last time. nothing good will happen. The game will fail if it is unfinished. Planetary annihilation is the reason I will never buy early access for any game, period.

sup com 2 is a good game, but a bad sup com title. might sound weird but thats how it is. sup com 2 would be good if it was called sup com spec ops or something like that. showing that the downgrade in scale was intentional (even if it wasnt) and would explaine it in a lore way. (it would even make sense since its post eternal war. so no need for big duck off armies)

I haven't stopped playin Blitzkrieg since it was released on moddb. COH3 campaign could've been DLC for COH2, COH3 was an opportunity for the series to go into a new route perhaps a new Theatre or setting. Pacific with the jap faction or Modern early 90's-2000's would've been good. I have COH3 on console and i'm not gonna hate it considering it's the best RTS on console and i do own a NASA powerhouse PC all though a potato could easily runs current released games nowadays.

I am shocked (not). This company is well known for their bombastic promises and extremely lacklustre delivery. After SupCom 2, PA and Titans, I'm not falling for it again. They can fuck off until they have launched the game proper and reviews say it's actually good. Otherwise it's just the same old garbage.

Homeworld 3's war games mode is another excellent "roguelike" RTS.

The initial offering wasn't really interesting to me at all, and I found it especially egregious when they made the $200k goal less than what they generated for Human Resources - which was cancelled at nearly $400,000 with a $1.4 million goal. But the fact that they released it _this_ early for $30 I think indicates some financial situation. I wouldn't touch this based solely on that - because I wouldn't be surprised if the company disappeared in the next six months. Especially considering that John Comes, a long time leader at Galactic Annihilation and previous companies, recently posted that he left. Uber Entertainment and the various studios Jon Mavor and Bob Berry have created over the years have always seemed to fall short of their goals and Titans was their only real success - even while it was tainted with controversy. But with the industry the way it is and this being so poor, I can't imagine it's going to work out this time.

AoE 2 for j2me was peak gameplay of its time (2004 I guess?), never been fan of AoE series exactly, but of while RTS genre as well. Firstly I saw this game on my firends mobile and almost forced him to send me it with Irda port, then played and enjoyed a lot.

I don't know a single person that buys sports video games, yet I know a lot of people who play pretty much all other styles of games including RTS and like sports. I've played C&C since I was 8 or 9 and bought every game there after as with it being my favorite game series. Generals was my favorite and I was anticipating Generals 2. I recently mentioned it to my son and he watched competition videos and decided to buy the collection. He seems to really like it even while being older games. I hope there is a new C&C game utilizing modern game technology and quit doing mobile games that don't do justice. I've played the online and mobile games and never stayed into them because they are simply not good and don't feel like C&C. C&C 4 was not good in my opinion and was downhill from C&C 3.

While dicking around with a game engine can be learned relatively quickly, making videogames professionally requires A LOT of study and preparation. The "successful, self-taught indie dev" is an extreme anomaly. Most of these solo devs have degrees in related fields and years of previous experience in dev teams.
