Excellent video as always Mr PK. You actually helped me clarify what a “mutilated” lobster is by definition by devon and seven. I had always assumed any missing part but it’s actually a mutilated tail that could disguise a v-notch. I’ve let many eating size lobsters go when missing a claw 😭

Hello from Western Australia Joe. Recently found your channel and enjoy your content, keep the vids coming. I must say that the sealife in your cold UK waters seems much more docile and less flighty than here. I am a tad envious about that tbh. Looking forward to your next upload

That’s my go to foraging spot being just up the road from me. Not surprised you didn’t see Bass they usually come in later in the season. Have had a few spiders so far but need to get hold of a lobster hook to up my success rate.

It's a stunning spot isn't it. Have you seen many lobsters there in your travels?

Many thanks for the video and useful tips Joe. I often spearfish this mark as well, so it was nice to see it. Have you got other videos where you spearfish this reef in the distance? Cheers

Not yet! But it’s an amazing spot for bass 👍

@@JoePkSpearfishing the rocks to the right from the entrance to the beach are very good for bass. I see lots of big mullet there as well time to time. High chance I'm going there tomorrow :)

I’ll just leave the spider crab here in the rock pool… Oh dear, the spider crab is slowly walking back into the ocean, if only I had the capability to reach into the water and grab it. Mate, what was that about? 🤣😂🤣

I thought the crab was a legend for escaping that pool. Sorry I had to let it go...

@@JoePkSpearfishing hmm, ok. I like it! Also like it that you just left that laying around in the vid without exposition. Your like Peter Greenway in a wetsuit. Love your work, keep it up. 😎👍

How do carbon fins hold up against the reefs when lobster foraging 👍

All good, I've known plastics to get broken but carbons nowadays are incredibly hardy

Yes that crab was a hustler. Second lobster wasn’t so lucky 😋
@barcleyspicer-jenkins56183 ай бұрын
That looked completely delicious! Didn’t expect that from the second lobster! What are the rules around that? I believe it’s illegal to land a lobster if it only has 1 claw only, but zero?
@JoePkSpearfishing3 ай бұрын
Ohit was chef! In the guidance I can't find anything about taking lobster without a claw or two!
