The Geezer is standing on the top rung of the portable ladder, that is really unsafe. 3:25. 3:30. This was a common practice for cartoon characters to do in 1960s cartoons before the OSHA Act of 1970.

The Pearl got off light. He is free a free pearl in May June July August. So he's in jail for 8 months for the next 30 years. I think this means he really only has a maximum sentence of 35 years and some ten months. So at least The Pearl can be with his family for four months of the year.

This is classic. I remember as a little kid in the 60's getting up early every Saturday morning to watch Space Ghost, Fantastic Four, Super chicken and a little later, Scooby Doo. Always loved Fred.😋

6:08 "The Oyster went to jail to serve every month with an "R" in it for 30 years." Warden: Alright, Oyster. It's May, so you're a free man for now. See you first thing September. I trust you won't take this obvious opportunity to escape for good.
Louie the Lapin closely resembles Eggs Benedict in the "Super Chicken" pilot episode, which was made two years before this episode. Super Chicken's name was Hunt Strongbird, Jr., a play on the name of a real TV executive named Hunt Stromberg, Jr. The real person obviously didn't like that, which is why none of Jay Ward's shows were seen on CBS. ☹️🐔🐇😀

So after all these years I finally know where that reference to a "lady" growing a five o'clock shadow came from! I thought for some reason it was in a Fractured Fairy Tales cartoon! Haha! Same production company, Jay Ward!

The 60's were a good time indeed! I'd watch these cartoons with my older brother, (who has since passed away, and way too soon, at 63.) Now, nearly 10 years later, the memories come flooding back. What good times!!!
