You should update your ftp on Zwift by doing The Climb, a ramp test, or a 20-minute full effort. 243 FTP is way too low FTP for someone who could push 3.4 w/lkg for 20 min. 3.4 x 79 = 268.6*.95 = 255.17. Well done Nothing wrong with that race. While it's up the organiser how they want to apply their rules this is more a legacy setting not working well with CE. WKG is applying DQ on your 95% 20 min power based on old ZP power bands. Organiser really should be disabling that setting as if you qualify to enter a CE event there is no reason to DQ you. It quite often gets set again for new events though as it's the default on ZP. More than likely the organiser would update the event if you give them a nudge. italian based team so probably all snoozing at this time of night. i'd try message them tomorrow.

Speaking as someone who has created a few Zwift races, it's easy to accidentally enable the WKG DQ in the event settings (I have done it, and gone back and corrected it) so my first question is whether they actually intended to do that. It's possible that it was an automated mistake. In CE races it should not be used because it can result in DQing riders who remain in the same category which is silly. That DQ code is left over from before CE existed. So talk to the organiser and they might sort it out for several people who should not have been DQ. If they did mean to do it then I would avoid their races unless you just want a training ride and don't care.
@notpogiКүн бұрын

Hey I recorded a vid on this but never published it because of the sound quality. My local hill climb race weighed everyone for a special prize. So I had that data. I filtered out women, very small people and very tall. Out of a sample size of 70 or so the average weight was 81 kilos. Surprisingly heavy as these were all licensed bike racers. I then did a similar filter on a Zwift Fondo , same demographic e.g. North American males similar age range, height range etc., the average weight was 71 kilos. My feeling is this was a fairly accurate comparison of a fairly similar cohort and the average weight doping on Zwift is about 10 kilos. 😂

Hey Ollie. Firstly- great race, massive kudos for hanging in there on such a long and attritional course. You’d have been in the mix without the chain drop. Grumpy old (56) man view on the steering- I personally think it’s an unfair edge. Appreciate that people are paying for the privilege of use but it just seems a little excessive to me. Final point- I’d really like to be in a few races where everyone just rode at temp for the first half. We have all become so conditioned to fast start, ease, VO2 max on every bump, etc. I guess most of these races are so short that they automatically become a “let’s burn as many people as we can” but occasionally it would be nice to see something a bit different! Think that the pack dynamics still don’t help, so difficult to break away if catch a reasonable size group with a few big hitters. Rant over, great to see that the training is paying dividends.

I’ve been on the fence with the steering for a while (probably why I haven’t made the purchase yet) I didn’t like the fact I kept getting pushed out to the side - the steering does feel a little ‘pay to win’ and quite over powered. I’d absolutely love to see a slower start too - one of the main things that I liked about the original FRR series (back in the day) were the neutralised starts - it’d be good if Zwift could implement some sort of rollout - maybe a race where if you pass the marker before a certain point (if you start racing before you’re meant to) you get zapped? Would be interesting to see if something like that could work 👍🏻
