They are made with CATL LFP cells. I chose them as they compatible with my Growatt inverters. I would recommend them, but a single large battery is easier then a few smaller one as you don't have to worry about balancing them.

@2:51 I used to live in that house. :) The image on left is facing north, the right side image faces south. The HOT horizontal band that you see just below the ceiling is not a window but is actually the top of the concrete masonry block wall (facing due east) that has been exposed to the morning sun. It's insane how thermally conductive and emissive concrete blocks are. I learned a lot living in that house.

Great reviews. Is one able to replace the Spotify app with KZbin music app? Or can one only use KZbin music though Android auto connection?
@EcoHouseThailandАй бұрын
There is a Spotify app imbedded into the infotainment system. You log on with your account and it remembers what track was playing the last time you were in the car. It is the fastest way to get music playing. After the infotainment screen has loaded, you can play your own music from your phone over Bluetooth, wireless connect your phone to android Auto or Apple car play and use any music apps you have. You can also load music from the SD card that is used for the Dash Cam. BYD has added a few apps over the year I have owned the car, like KZbin and a browser, but these 2 only work when the car is stationary.

Excellent content. One question, is your house single phase? The information I found online says that the BYD AC (V2L) output is single phase only. I'm planning to buy a BYD soon and would like to use the V2L feature as a backup, but my house is set up as 3 phase (127v Phase to Neutral), and a have a grid tied solar. So far I have not found any economical way to make to convert the single phase BYD output into my 3 phase panel. All the inverters are way too big (and thus expensive) compared to the 3kw power output of the BYD. Thanks
@EcoHouseThailand2 ай бұрын
Yes my house is single phase. It was designed to be off-grid so grid power was only going to be a temporary thing during the build. I have never had 3 phase electrics.

Several years ago I purchased a bunch of smart Xiaomi temp and humidity monitors. They only work when connected to the Xiaomi China server which I no longer have access to, so they are now just dumb displays. I am about to replace them with Tuya devices to add to my Home Assistant server, this will give me access to historical data. The house is designed to naturally cool and vent via stack effect and as a result we hardly ever (1 or 2 days/year) have aircon on in the living room, meaning that we don’t use the ERV much as well. The only rooms we really use aircon is the bedroom, my office and the cinema. All the aircons in the house are just 8,500 BTU.

@@triplex7144My inverters are hybrid off-grid, so they can draw power from the grid but can’t feed back power. The box is an outdoor waterproof electrical box. It initially held my V2L adapter. Have you checked in how much your Seal draws when V2L is active? I do have reports here and there from different vehicle types that it can be 300 Watts, and I was wondering if the BYD might be any better. 300 extra Watts is a lot if you have one heat pump running which draws less than 200 Watts total.

@fnordpol I can run my house at night for 12 hours with aircon and servers running and only deplete the battery by 7kWh so it seems very efficient
@fnordpol5 ай бұрын
@@EcoHouseThailand I cant tell because I have no idea how much of those 7KWh is getting used by your house and how much is getting used by your car. If your car burns through en extra 300 Watt just to keep the MCU and Battery condition running, this would loose half of the power you are draining. And the thing is: I have checked the reports and calculated this drain this on other models. In your scenario it is mostly the question if you should probably charge your house battery from your car, and turn the car of to get better efficiency. In my case I plan to power a camper with it off grid and it is the question if I can run 2 days or a full week on the battery.
