I don’t know the books but WW really seemed to chase LZ, but he eventually got put off by all the glares and disapproving looks. I know it was actually jealousy now but coming to the story cold like I did I didn’t see that it was jealousy. So once WW had done something that he knew for sure LZ would definitely disapprove of I think he gave up on any hope of a closer relationship. A relationship with this sort of dynamic usually doesn’t work out but they are both so close to perfect that I never hurt each other enough to destroy the relationship. They just had misunderstandings.

I love watching their old joint interviews. You can see how Xiao Zhan almost acts like Wang Yibo’s happy and calming pill. Yibo just smiles a whole lot more, is more responsive to questions, and just looks so much more relaxed. What goes on in their personal lives is theirs to keep.
