For thumbnails, I believe Tamara gets sighted help. As for me, I use my remaining vision to quickly put something together. So I try to keep my thumbnails simple. I usually magnify the screen and lean in close to make sure the text is where I want it to be.

@JuanAlcazar5 ай бұрын
Yes, I knew this to be honest. I think Android and iOS are pretty even with accessibility as well. It’s just a matter of which one works best for the individual. For me, iOS and Apple work better for what I need. At the end of the day, if things are working just fine then that’s all that matters no matter the platform.

I've never owned anything from apple but I always thought these kinds of features were industry standard for most technology products
@JuanAlcazar5 ай бұрын
For some products they are. Some do have better accessibility than others. One big thing that I think every piece of tech should have when accessible is to toggle it on during the setup process. I know some products do end up doing that, but when one needs sighted assistance to set up something that is supposed to be made accessible, then it’s not as accessible as it’s made to be.
@chrisfitzchrisfitz51824 ай бұрын
The quantity and quality of the accessibility features very from item to item, and where it has improved over the years, Apple has really made the effort to make it work for folks that need it!👍🏽 written with the help of VoiceOver.😊

Nice! Not only should there be audio description of the action, I think all videos should also do translation too- really great example of this is the new Shogun series on Hulu. Both audio described and translated from Japanese when needed! First I’ve ever seen this. Nice that they use subtext for those who can read the screen, but the narrator is pulling double duty by describing AND translation! Cool!! 😄👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽

Why do some of these people have cataracts? Isnt that treatable with a new lens?
@JuanAlcazar4 ай бұрын
Yes, cataracts are treatable now, but sometimes the recovery process can be lengthy, and some folks may not need to get them removed, or may just not want them removed. Everyone is going to have their own reason to get them or not get them removed. For me, I probably won’t get mine removed because I still have blurred and little to no detailed vision. It’ll just look less foggy and that’s about it.
