Never connected coralline, that was a trip! I was after mirror mask for a long time and couldn't find it, when I did it was amazing. Truly a forgotten gem!

This is hilarious! I remember when I was watching Mirromask I felt like it reminded me strongly of Alice in Wonderland and Labyrinth. Now I know why.

Holy crap! This was so freaking cool! Thank you so much for this video <3 You have no idea how fast my head snapped back to the screen when you revealed the movie's final title! I'd seen this some time back, but had absolutely no idea it was a Labyrinth sequel or that it was a Jim Henson production (for some reason lol). I loved how weird it was and how dreamlike. Another one that's very dreamlike that I fell in love with was the movie "Ink." I haven't binged all your videos, yet, so I don't know if you've covered it or not. If you haven't I'd highly recommend looking into it!

Adam was the best character. And his voice actor did a wonderful job. Also, he never ate the fruit of knowledge, so he don't know right from wrong.

I owned this as part of a three movie set with Labyrinth and Dark Crystal, and somehow never got around to it.

The movie sequel you missed: The tag line of the video. Then a few seconds into the video. 'it's not a sequel' BS click bait. This is why KZbin is Crap anymore :(

I was mad addicted to this film but it's only as an adult you realise how...wrong it is to think it was romantic. I was obsessed with Jarod but since I got older I absolutely cringe, funny thing is, my 5 year old is dying to watch it and I'm going to have to subtly explain to her that the King is a Wrong'un. She wanted Gremlins too, she wants to watch what I grew up with as an 80s kid, even wants the toys I've told her about. It's still a brilliant film and I still know every word at 44 🤦

I wasn't a HUGE Mirror fan cuz I wish that they COMBINED the CGI and puppetry together but twas mostly CGI. But, KNEW it had SOMETHING to do with the Labyrinth. 🤣🤣🤣

I was actually thinking about revisiting this film though. I know that Jim was FASCINATED with cgi and I'm older now with a more open mind. Honestly forgot most of this film. So, a fresh new adult mind might come in handy. Watch this film with new eyes. 😊

Definitely will be giving it a watch. I grew up watching Labyrinth with my mom sooooo many times. Also I really like the channel so far and have now subbed 👍 keep up the good work 😁👍

I remember people saying that at some point almost 20 years back, but...the vibe was so off in Mirrormask, it just exists as its own thing tbh.

Horrible girl. One tries to do one's best for these creatures, and they cannot control their filthy minds. The labyrinth is capricious. It is no place for people who lack self control. It reacts according to why they are, and who they are. The goblins are blamed, when only innocence can exist so long in their company. The monster is expelled from the labyrinth, because of the filth she brought in with her.

Every single clip from Mirrormask made me want to claw my eyeballs out. What hideousness! I'm so glad I had never heard of this movie or seen it until this video. What a contrast from the Labyrinth! Labyrinth is like a dream and this is like a nightmare. I feel very sorry for the kids who had to grow up watching this garbage rather than a masterpiece like Labyrinth!🥺

I briefly remember my literature teacher reading out the original german fairytale "Von dem Machandelboom" after it was referred to in a novel by Theodor Fontane. We were in 11 or 12 grade in Germany. So we're young adults who grew up with the similar. While she was reading, we were all shocked. It was so disturbing and grossed us out. 😢

Saw it when I got it from the library. As far as it being a sudo sequel to Labyrinth, I just don’t see it. Mirror Mask is an incredible film. That coming from someone who is more of a Punisher/Sin City fan, who occasionally dabbled in dark fantasy. If I had I favorite part, probably when the guy escaped into the real world and became a waiter.

I had no idea they were related but I love mirrormask. I came across it a very long time ago. None of my friends cared for it after I coerced them to watch it, so this exposure for it makes me so happy 🖤

I read the novelization and wrote a paper about it for a children's literature class in college. I still have my copy, which I bought in a book fair when I was a kid. I thought the novel seemed a lot creepier than the film. Sarah was my first fictional character crush.

Yeah Gaston's probably a narcissist but he's not as bad as the literal Beast to imprisons Belle in a dungeon at the beginning of the movie over some roses.
