It's funny because I have just written a sci-fi story for fun with a character called Ruck Bogers in it and a creature called a Grok or Krog. I did a search to see who else uses the name Ruck Bogers. This is almost exactly the kind of music it would have in it if it were a movie. Sadly I only have the resources to write the story. It's kind of like alien but the other way around. Exactly how? In ways you didn't think possible.

Hello, how are you, I want to know if you can help me with a problem I have. I'm trying to connect an akai xr20 to trigger it with the multipad strike and I tried anyway but nothing, from alesis they sent me a link from you but I couldn't get it to work either, could you or do you know how to do it? I have 2 alesis strike multipad and with none I can shoot towards the akai xr20, being that in alesis I am in out and in the akai in. It would be so kind of you to do the test if it works with some special configuration please I'm from Chile and I tried 1 week in a row and nothing greetings 🙂
@MetatronsCube23 Жыл бұрын
In the XR 20 check the midi settings, make sure it matches the midi channel of the strike multipad. The sounds in the kits on the XR-20 are set on certain notes too, so you might have to set the pads on the strike multi pad to actually match where the sounds in the kit are set on the XR-20(i don't remember off hand, it's easier to find with a keyboard). Once you do find where they are at though, it should be easier to get your multipad to hit the samples on the xr-20 if you can assign the pad on the multi strike to the specific midi note value.
@MetatronsCube23 Жыл бұрын
In the settings you can specify what layers of the the kit are on(Drums, one shot, and synth), and what channels they are assigned to.
@MetatronsCube23 Жыл бұрын
in theory, you should be able to chain both of your multi strike pads and a keyboard(if you wanted to play the internal synth) into the XR-20 at the same time. With both multistrike pads you should be able to assign them to most of a drum kit www.manualslib.com/manual/354035/Akai-Xr-20.html?page=45

hello thank you very much for answering, friend and i tried to do everything in configuration and it doesn't work with the alesis strike multipad, i tried with other drum modules and if they work, my question is if they are not compatible or if they occupy a specific channel, i use number 10 and it works for me with other drum machines that I have, but akai xr20 I can't get it to work, (I tried in an inverted way controlling from the akai to the alesis strike and if it works) but I want to trigger the sounds from the multipad @@MetatronsCube23

"using the Beatstep Pro(warning: the BSP can burn out the CV ins on the Werkstatt's 5v inputs" I have been using my Werkstatt connected to the Arturia Keystep.I don't know if there a risk of damaging the Werkstatt doing it that way.

It's fine as long as you don't use the drum triggers, it was updated and you can pick the voltages now within midi control center application.
@seanigo58479 ай бұрын
@@MetatronsCube23Thank you for this! I've been unable to find the voltage settings in midi control center - I have the newest version of that software and the BSP firmware, and the only control over gate that I see is to choose V-trig or S-trig. Where do you set the voltage?

Are you feeding linear pitch CV from the SQ-1 to the MS-20xx and expo CV to the Werkstatt?
@MetatronsCube233 жыл бұрын
the midi out on the SQ-1 is driving the MS-20(it has an all black cable so it's hard to see it), while the CV outs were used to control the werkstatt.

How do I get the MS20 mini to control the Werkstatt?Yes I have the CV expander
@baconstrips62603 жыл бұрын
The MS20 mini will not "control" the werkstatt-01 the way you want it to. You can hook them up to make crazy cools sounds but neither are a sequencer. The MS20 is a synthesizer and just as the werkstatt-01 is a synthesizer and in this video the Korg SQ-1 is actually "controlling" the werkstatt-01 because it is a sequencer and the MS20 is vibing alone just making cool sounds along side the sequenced stuff. Hope that helps

Hey! First of all this sounds great. I know it's been a long time, but how did you plug the volca into the m track? Did you use the midi line in?
@MetatronsCube234 жыл бұрын
The Kp3 is the master clock in this, plugged into one volca, and then used a sync cable from the volca that is getting the clock from the kp3 to the other volcas. The audio goes into a cheap powered mixer, and then into the M-audio for recording on the computer.
@SashaMit014 жыл бұрын
@@MetatronsCube23 but are you using a line in/guitar input with a jack or the mic input on the m-track? Thank you for the detailed answer, by the way. I just got a used m-track and can't get it to work with my volca sample via just a line in. Wondering if it would work if I would get a mini audio jack to midi converter. Or maybe the device is just faulty.
@MetatronsCube234 жыл бұрын
@@SashaMit01 I used two TS(tip/sleeve mono) wires from the mixer to the M-audio set at mic/line and stereo. The volcas use 1/8" TRS to L and R TS(mono) at the mixer.
