These three colors make up white (I believe in a subrtractive color model), so you figure if white diamond started out absorbing all colors, she would rid herself of blue by creating blue, then yellow by creating yellow. But when she tried to create red, she only created half of red: pink. Pink is red+white, and so she only got rid of half of the red in her system, leaving her with Pink Diamond and a little pink left in herself (like the blush we see in the finale). This also works with the theory that Pink was a defective diamond, or overcooked, because she was the only diamond with impure color

And with all her powers and strength, creating an entire galactic empire from scratch would be extremely time consuming too much for a single diamond to handle: Colonising worlds for gem production. Maintaining and developing Armies to conquer those worlds, Establish and Maintaining order among the different gem castes etc. Also being the most powerful and radiant gem would carry an even heavier burden: Maintaining that Title. She can’t be seen showing weaknesses or emotions (even though it’s normal). So she decided to create new diamonds to assist her and to embody those qualities she herself wouldn’t express. Blue embodies her empathetic and emotional side. Yellow embodies her strength, determination and resilience. Pink embodies her humour and childish self. Which leaves white with nothing but her own ego and pride.

HTTYD 3 is definitely not the same theme throughout the movies. It didn't even start with "This is Berk..." where we get the introduction of what happened in the past few years, what is going on now etc. They forgot everything that didn't fit into their story. Why did we not see new species of dragons in the Hidden World? The Hidden World is exactly that, a hidden habitat where there should be species that haven't been discovered yet. I was very disappointed that the Hidden World introduction didn't leave me in awe like Valka's nest did. We saw a lot of new species in Valka's nest flying around. Also Toothless just leaving Hiccup for the Light Fury goes against everything we know of Toothless. Also killing the Deathgrippers was wrong. I wanted to see Hiccup free them (remove the muzzles)

The fungus that takes over insects brains and turns them to zombies pretty much is the Cordeceps(not sure how to spell it) mushroom. Its spores infect the insects brain after inhaled, taking control of their mind and thoughts and making them attack other insects to spread the spores and infection. Its also a bit of a hive mind when fungus strands connect across a wide enough area
