i like austism portrayed in media in today. but alot of them is high functioning and independent at times, i feel like it's important to talk about low functioning, especially that alot of them is pretty much Undercare especially in the 2000s. if there more low functioning potrayor, we probably can get more help and empathy to them. i really feel like it's important and i would to see it in the future

I was really worried because I didn't think my special interest ( wings of fire ) was strong enough, but when it said special interest in a certain are of study subject, topic or thing, I got super excited because I have a super duper strong interest in science at school and in libraries11!!11!!

I still haven't seen thw for various reasons, despite having a dear place in my heart for the first movie. The most egregious being that it's a very odd message to send that two groups shouldn't coexist. That it's BETTER if they don't interact. Which is just. Bad. That's a harmful thing to promote and I just don't understand how it is narratively satisfying for anyone. Imo a bittersweet ending that would still fit what they were (I think) trying to say would just be that yes, the dragons are not so tied in to human society. They live peacefully with each other, but without the levels of integration that was seen in the third movie. Toothless can do his own thing and still come back to fly with Hiccup, make repairs on his wing, just hang out haha... It simply didn''t have to be so extreme in how the "separation" went.

It is a very privileged take to say that autism isn’t a disability- certain symptoms such as sensory issues can be debilitating and even the social aspect is definitely disabling to many. Even with complete social awareness and acceptance of autistic traits, many autistic people, especially those with higher support needs, will still consider autism disabling.

That pink is and was selfish is one interpretation. Another is that the Diamonds are what happens when the family lead is a sociopath. Everyone under the control is such a being deals or in their own way. Pink.... was more than a little insane, and this entire series sub plot is about regaining sanity and good morality in a mad and uncaring world.

You can also get sensory overload from not being able to process a big emotion or lots of emotions. You can get sensory overload from general emotion overload. For example - sometimes I’ll be around hyper people and the excitement will make me jittery and my body can’t process it making all my senses go overloaded

I have always loved HTTYD, and I didn't really understand why for a long time, but as someone who is queer and aroace, there are A LOT of themes that tie in with that experience. I love the the story of the outcast and other and how they actually create real positive change on Berk, and simply the focus on friendship between Hiccup and Toothless as the most important bond for both of them. Having a love interest to cause a big point of conflict between Hiccup and Toothless made me so mad, seeing how Astrid and Hiccup are able to be together without it causing issues. It's a tale as old as time, and it went completely against the themes that make HTTYD so special for me. And the dragons leaving at the end was the worst. Like you said, it just doesn't make sense. Watching the movie in the theater, I thought I should feel sad or emotional at the end, but instead I just felt irritated and unsatisfied.

the terrifying thing is since gems are still conscious while shattered, every second they are feeling unending pain and suffering. they can’t escape it until they are reunited with their other shards and fixed. if that ever happens.

Nobody will ever see this, but have you ever thought that why the strawberries in the strawberry battlefield are so big could be because of the thousands of gems that were shattered there, and the nutrient is being released from the deceased gem shards making the strawberries grow to be massive.

including a depiction LGBT is political, it doesnt matter if it is negative or positive but it is absolutely political. Showing this means that you are part of a progressive movement or want to cater to an audiance. making an effort to not include LGBT is also political. Clearly there are opposing sides in this.

To me, this entire series spoke to me, as it shows that people who look and are different, aren’t bad and should be allowed in spaces with the ‘normal’ people. (eg, in real life, you could say this can count for ableism, racism, religious discrimination and homophobia/transphobia) It also showed me that being ‘strange and different’ in the eyes of others can still mean you are loved and welcome, as I am queer and have dyslexia, along with possible autism. And for the series to just- what? To say that everyone needs to hide away because people aren’t ready for you and your differences, because there are some people out there who are bad and out to hurt you. It give a gross message, telling people they need to hide away, all because they aren’t like the others. Sure, people may not have the same interpretation as me, but it’s probably similar in regards to mine, even if it’s not in a context for real life. It left an extremely bad taste in my mouth when I watched the 3rd movie, since the entire series has been with me since I was in middle school and I’ve loved it to death, playing the games and rewatching anything with httyd in it. Genuinely, the entire series is a comfort series of mine.

Several of my friends have made comments to me kinda mentioning how I’m probably on the spectrum somewhere. It’s never in a negative connotation I just don’t know how to feel about it or what to do. I can’t necessarily get diagnosed, and growing up it was always veiwed in a negative light. Which I now know that it’s not something bad nor something someone should be ashamed of. This video was a little too relatable for me 😅
