Thanks for the video im sony user past 20 years and i must say make phone for the people's who actually need a phone not gimmicks like apple or Samsung or any other opppo mi etc i have Samsung now just because my sony is has broke actually display is broke because of my sis she drops it from the car on traffic and i can't get a new one because sony is more selling thier phone here in india but surely Im gonna import a new one soon.. The reason i already told that the quality and efforts of sony for their costumer's is unmatched something like Ferrari mix with toyota.. Beautiful also reliable anything is necessary for phones sony give you not more or not less ..expl 3.5mm jack camera button battery setting an so on.. Sony asus moto are the peoples focused brand

One thing I noticed since using xperia mini is that my phone addiction is not prominent unlike when using iphone. I believe the simplicity of the xperia phone and japanese touch added to the factors

Mine did not have glue on the battery. I guess that maybe just some of em had and maybe once some complaints came in they stopped doing it. Who knows. It was quite easy to change the battery.

I am planning on buying this phone after my Pixel 7 Pro screen is giving me trouble. I have some questions.. Does the camera lags? Takes very long to process? Does the phone heats up? Thanks a lot.

@@WazapBlastah Believe it or not, I am still using it, typing from it right now. There is no green line for me, but the battery has absolutely died.

Have you found a screen protector that is not UV glue type? Like a normal tempered glass screen protector that sticks to the whole display and not just the edges?

My dad has it, and I am unsure of the exact model. As of now he is running the official Android 12, no green lines.

I didn't view the video, but what is this "GREEN LINE" folks are talking about? I own the phone...got it about 3 months ago I'm thinking(?), but either way... The *"BAD"...* 1. The volume is EXTREEEEEEEEEMLY weak! Horrific! 2. The flashlight is EXTREEEEEEEMLY weak! Worthless! The *"GOOD"...* 1. The battery is EXTREEEEEEMLY long lasting! 2. The Sony "1 handed use" feature, should you need it. 3. The camera is very nice. When I got mine, it immediately started updating several times to the current version, so it "maxed out" to w/ever version it's supposed to have.

@@Kman. I just got the phone about 2-3 weeks ago. Mine is au sets (Japanese version of the phones) For the 4-year-old ex-flagship devices, I think it's still performed very well on this day.

Thanks for the review. With regard to colour accuracy, is the X50 Ultra, like the Edge 50 Ultra, Pantone validated? I have the Edge 50 Ultra, and, with the colour set to Natural, I was disappointed with the photo image quality when viewed on the phone's screen However, it was a completely different story when I viewed the photos on my laptop. I am really impressed. Although there is no dedicated Night Mode, I found night photos very natural looking.

I have had great issues determining color accuracy because of the said colour shift. The colours did look muted/not saturated, but I lack the equipment to scientifically prove anything. Also, my main device is an Xperia.

@@Serbofreak Have you had an opportunity to compare your phone against another X50 Ultra to see if yours is faulty? Using the white screen in the Display Tester App on my Edge 50 Ultra, I cannot see any colour shift.

Great video. Unfortunately not working for me as battery stuck so badly it won’t bulge no matter what. Completely disassembled speaker, saw through casing to loosen to remove board. Unfortunately also ripped that small wire under battery connecting controls to board. Either way, nothing worked and battery still stuck. Have to throw it out now. Wish I saw this video before buying replacement battery.

I used a drill to make the battery into powder!! Took more than an hour and was lucky not burnt! Later I fount I could unscrew a few more and push it instead of pull!

Heyy, Its an amazing review ! Im really impressed by how to-the-point everything u said, was ! <3 one question though. Does the telephoto camera work well ? Because ive seen from other reviewers that the telephoto camera basically is useless and is worse even than digital zoom. :( I'm considering to buy this phone as im tired of finding a used phone that gives atleast a decent balance between battery life (normal kinda daily usage atleast for a day), performance and cameras (tho again, I dont use it THAT much) I'd really appreciate your help, mate. Hmm... Had my phone for a couple of months now and have no lint in my speakers yet. So no issue there. Nothing strange with my screen. But Aunty is using two or three different screen manufacturers did there screens so you could have a different screen than me. I'm very happy with my Xperia V and had Xperia IV before this one, and want happy with that one

Very valid points made here. I love the design but this is my second xperia so its pretty fresh. Im totally with you about the software being so stripped down. There are a lot of Android 14 features that didnt show up 😢

My previous plan is to get iPhone 15 for the iOS and video and Xperia 1 V for photo, but I decided to get A7RV as dedicated photo camera, Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder for video and iPhone 15 for phone stuffs, is it better decision? The lens I will get is Tamron 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 but I not yet sure which ultra wide lens that I can crop a bit for everyday use, should I get Loawa 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 manual lens 496g, Sony 12-24mm F4 565g or Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 795g?

ohhh I'm 4:05 in to this great review! I had the Xperia 10 device - hated the felt/thin material they used for the speakers - several years later they still use that! I also remember my device would constantly overheat to the point it would shut down or restart - and the 1 iv had similar heat issues? Some even say they have issues with the 1 V - for the price - there is too much wrong - while getting a lot right! The price is not competitive - and ugh I didn't even realize - I have watched over 18 videos on this phone because I thought about buying it - then as you pointed out the speaker material design I had a flashback and I recall my speakers be dirty no matter what, even reports of the material ripping/breaking and just a mess smh
