Rebels are the heroes? Terrorist, more like. They didn't bring freedom.. they brought chaos. Without the Empire more people suffered than before, sure it was a little oppressive, but the Empire wasn't guilty for how the troopers acted, they gave the orders but the troopers acted by themselves. They gave jobs, good living conditions, they were fair, just, and gave trial to the guilty, the only bad thing, was it was a little tight on politics, and when they fell, many, MANY lives (and livelihoods) fell with them. In conclusion, the Rebels are scum. (Thats why I would just be a bounty hunter alined with the Empire, like Fett. I would also probably where the White prototype Fett armor, its looks so gud.)

I'd put Palpatine more under neutral evil, tbh. He uses the law to gain/hold onto power but he doesn't particularly care about it. He'd just as happily break an agreement or violate the law if it suited him at the time. I mean, he was secretly backing rebels and destablizing the government to gain power. That's a neutral evil move right there, not driven by any ideology but power for its own sake.
