Of course! the trick is to set up, as showcased multiple times during the video in different situations and summarized at the end. The rest is supporting narration explaining my thought process during the whole match, done for extra educational value =)

2nd mistake after failing to setup. Ya once they took highground with Ashe and their team it was going to be hard but might have had a chance if you rotated to a different deep angle through left building (to help pull attention to a new angle so the queen wouldn't have been bursted). You stayed main probably to help peel for the supports there where soon going to be in wide open los. Controlling/dueling off angles is the most important thing a dps can do getting picks are 2ndary in my books. Control the angles and supports and tank will live longer.
@weenewsboyКүн бұрын
Over all some great concepts in this vid. Just need to rotate even to shallow off angles a little more to support the rest of the team.
@weenewsboyКүн бұрын
Pretty much what you said. Just need to setup faster and more often.
@HarmlessPokeКүн бұрын
The problem with that specific flank is how long it takes to pull off. A fight could happen at any moment, so I judged that in that bad situation the best thing to do was play the corner and contribute as much as I could instead of risking being a non factor. If I knew we had like 10s before both teams engaged, I would have done the flank for sure =)
@weenewsboyКүн бұрын
@@HarmlessPoke Agreed time was a factor and like you mentioned hesitancy costs time. Soon taking and holding off angles will be less important for dps as 6v6 might be coming back. There are 2 tanks holding the angles. Soon dps can worry less about holding angles and can just look for opportunities to get kills. Though there will be less space to get in for those kills (nature of more bodies). Tanks would be kill able again though so more dash reset opportunities lol.

this is a great video on positioning! what ive found tho is on 1:18, even if u would have had the best possible positioning to threaten their highground, it wouldnt have mattered since both ur supports were around the corner and couldnt support you if u wanted to get out (sry broken english). the only way for YOU to get impact in that fight was to die as quickly as possible to loose faster and not stagger, since it is a lost fight anyways. im not discrediting all ur positioning tips, just implying that unfortunately, sometimes it is not ur fault... wich is just how ranked works and i would love to see more explanation about how to get value out of ur teams mistakes :p. But other than that, very good explanation on how to position correctly and setup for the upcoming fights :)
@HarmlessPoke2 күн бұрын
Your argument is missing a crucial piece tho: the fact that you not doing your job makes it harder for your teammates to do theirs. If I had actually set up on that highground, my team would have been able to play further up because they wouldn't need to be afraid of their main source of poke. You can see that our Queen and Juno are pushed up while the angle isn't being used, but as soon as the Ashe sits there uncontested, we are forced into the corner. Assuming we had a good setup, I would either have been able to hold that position and force them to take another angle, or would have dropped below to play the mini temporarily and then backed up with dash to the corner our Queen was holding or just backed to that same spot immediately.

8:12 Poke I think you couldve gotten another blade during that entire time you held onto to it. I think you couldve gotten more value by ulting more. 10:00 nice example of how not doing anything unironically gets you far in this game.
@HarmlessPoke3 күн бұрын
I really didn't need to ult in any of the fights tho. If I felt like the enemy team actually had a chance of winning and I was properly setup, I would have pulled the trigger to confirm the fight win. You are absolutely correct in that the more times you use your ultimate in a match, the more potential value you can get, but this should only be applied when ulting is actually necessary to win, as otherwise it's simply a waste of a resource on a really long cooldown

@HarmlessPoke2 ай бұрын
Not too much changes tbh, you are still a mobile character that plays close range off angles no matter what your team or the enemy team is playing, it's just a matter of when and where (I can expand on this in a video) I would suggest watching the videos on my thought process playlist paying attention to my positioning and timing so this becomes more clear =)

It's ok to feel frustrated by it, but unless you use it to fuel your play and make it better (focusing more for example), it's quite pointless and honestly bad for your player growth since the emotion is gonna get in the way of your improvement ;)
