Annyeong, everyone! 😎😎 In this video, you’ll hear some expressions that aren’t quite correct, which I’ve highlighted in red for easy identification. As a conversation writer, I wanted to present real-life dialogues. And in real life, conversations aren’t always made up of perfectly correct sentences. In fact, you’ll often hear these incorrect expressions being used quite frequently. Explaining why the expressions are incorrect in the comments section is a little tricky, but in short: words taken from other languages often have many variations in spelling and pronunciation among Korean speakers. Additionally, customer service staff are usually under a lot of pressure to be overly polite, which sometimes means they focus on being courteous rather than correct. This can lead them to use extra honorifics, not just with people but with objects too.

Oops, my bad, everyone! 😱😱There’s a typo at 4:34… I meant to say [‘크루아상’ is the correct translation for ‘croissant’], but I accidentally wrote [‘크루아상’ is the correct translation for ‘caramel macchiato’]

@santoverse2 ай бұрын
안녕하세요! 😊 If you bring your own reusable cups or tumblers, you can request the café to serve your drink in them. Conversely, if the café offers reusable cups and tumblers, they will typically use those for your drinks unless you specify that you need a takeaway. * 텀블러에 담아 주실 수 있을까요? (May I have my drink in my tumbler?)
