I was going to get a predator area light. But then ran across this light. I'm glad someone reviewed it. Couple questions if you don't mind for all of us wondering. a. Are you having any issues with flickering leds, sometimes won't turn on right away, etc? b. On a "heavy duty, feels strong" type of scale, how would you rate this? (1-10) 10 being "I can throw it on the ground and it won't break". c. Lastly, since you've had the light, have you had any issues with it at all? I know your affiliates with this company, but I hope you can try to provide an unbiased answer for all of us. I, just as many of us looking for an area light, really like the half price of the predator light. And perhaps instead of answering questions, maybe and/or a follow up video soon on having it for a bit and please show us what you did to hide your cables, fix the workaround issue of the drop down ceiling and cable anchors, etc. I'm sure it would help everyone. And where all does this company ship to? Sorry a long response, but as soon as my taxes get back it'll be on order. Icing on the cake.

Thanks for the comment and yes I will be doing a follow up video at the 3 month mark of owning it. Even though I’m affiliated I would only give a 100% honest opinion. My word means the most when I build cues and work on tables etc… No issues whatsoever so far, and from what I’ve seen if anyone has had issues they are good about shipping out parts. Heavy duty I’d give it a 5. But imo that both good and bad. In hindsight the light is so light and has so many hanging cables with it, I should have just used drop ceiling hooks instead of anchors.

Generally speaking, hanging billiard lights about 32"-36" above the bed of the table is about right

I'm in the market for a Billiards table light for an 8' home table I'll be setting up. This brand is a likely candidate. How many wires hold this up? Is the default a hard wire or a plug-in? Thank you

These are very light. So 4 is enough 6 is good to, to be on the safe side. The default is a plug, I suggest plugging it in a power strip so it’s protected and on a switch. Please use my code DanMulhollen for 5% off and it helps the channel!

Nice. I have a 9 ft pool table with a rwgular hanging pool table light. However I wanted to get one of those ping pong table tops to put on top of my pool table to play ping pong, but my current light will get in the way of playimg. So I was thinking about replacing the light with a Perimeter Billiard™ LED Pool Table Light like yours. Iam assuming I can mount it higher than the regular pool table lights so I can play ping pong? Also I wanted to know if I will be good to use a 7ft pool table light on my 9ft pool table?? I also may downsize from 9ft pool table to 8ft pool table I don't know yet.

Yeah this would work way better for a ping ping top. I used a 7’ light over my 9ft cause I had to. However I’d suggest going with at least an 8’. Also for the little bit extra you might as well get the 9’ imo. But let me know if you want one, buying through me helps the channel!

How lonng is the power cord to the plug? Did you extend yours?

It’s about 10’….. Mine made it to the outlet and I plugged it into a power strip. But I think I’m going to get it wired into a switch

I am definitely in the market for one of these lights. So you can install this by one guy? Only thing that I see could be a challenge is making sure the cable anchors are directly in line with the cables as it sits on your table. How do you make sure they are not off line?

As long as the ceiling isn’t over 10’ it’s very doable yourself. Can use plumb Bob or a laser to be precise. But I held the cable straight as possible and eyeballed it. Looks great imo.

What distance did you choose from rail ( 31 inches ) high from bottom of the light fixture?

Sorry just seeing this, mine is only 45” due to ceiling height. But 50-55” will work well

For a regulation table it is 34” to 36” above slate.

@@eddiegodoy3671 just so you know if you’re hanging a perimeter billiard light it’s suggested 50-55” above playing surface. Traditional 3 bulb lights and other center lit lights should be 36-42” above playing surface.

Our lights come with a 1-year warranty, if anything happens during this period, we will send the replacement part for free. Otherwise, it will be around $70-$90 depending on size.

@@mulhollenbilliardschannel654 Thank You, that is exactly what I wanted to know. By the way you can get the LED's and replace just them without replacing the whole section. This can be done for penny's in comparison. If and when you need to replace, take the bad one apart and see if you can source just the LED's. Very simple solder job if possible. I have other LED units and I have a spare that I use to replace the bad one and then repair the bad one as a spare again. My garage is lit up by six very bright 60 dollar LED units and the replacement LED chip is 3 dollars.
