Buddy of mine got me watching these videos. We’d spend hours watching them and dream of building something. He died from cancer last week. We’re having his service tomorrow November 18th. I’m sitting here at his house with his wife and family waiting for tomorrow and decided to watch another video and found a little peace and a little sadness. Thanks for the videos and someday I’ll get me a cabin I can disappear to for an escape. God bless and take care.

I love channels like these because they remind me of being a little kid watching my dad build stuff and work on whatever. Felt like he had a million years experience doing everything under the sun, and then some! No self-doubt or hesitation, just rolling with the punches, enjoying every second of it. I pray I can attain that security and peace before I get too much older, hah.

I found your videos and Brooke’s while looking for ideas and tips on how to restore a 70-year-old cabin I am working on here in Nagano, Japan. The first video I watched was the build of your small black cabin with red trim and that big window made from a piece of glass you had stored in a chicken coop for a long time. That and so many of yours and Brooke’s videos have provided so much insight and inspiration to keep my own project going. Thank you!!!

It had a belt drive that the tension could be set. Homemade fence.
