It is a bit of a joke. Still he could give up half of his wealth which would go a long way towards bridging the gap that the rest of us feel in the economy and he wouldn’t even notice it. Imagine if the average pay for Americans had kept up with inflation? What if the early predictions of efficiency stating that our work weeks would be at 15 hours a week had come true? Without the top 1% of earners the average salary is $59k. 1% of the US population currently controls 30% of our entire wealth. Does that seem fair?

Just for fun, we just took the total wealth that the 1% of the US population controls and checked how much the entire population would have if they split the total ($43 trillion divided by 330 million). It’s $130k. Thats more than double most people’s annual salary and the wealthiest people are just keeping it for fun. 😱

Did you know taxes on income over $1 million used to be taxed at close to 90%? That’s how we paid for all the services like road repairs that everyone uses. Wonder why all that stuff is broken now? 🤔

@ so if you got sick and couldn’t pay for medical care you would want to just not get treated? That’s pretty sad. All people deserve enough food, proper shelter, and medical care. We have plenty for everyone to have a baseline level of safety and support. We have chosen to let people suffer. We don’t need to do that.

I’ve watched your vid before and after adopting a kitten; it is awesome. I have a 2 month old female and her behavior changed a lot since I first adopted her. She used to cuddle with me 24/7 but now the majority of the time I try to touch her, she playfully bites or scratches my hands. Her eyes get locked on my hands or body in a playful but serious way when I move. I have never been able to pet her in the past 2 days because she instantly pounds my hand. It never hurts but she wont allow me to pet. Help pls 😢

@@JuliaAckinson you are actually pretty close seeing what to do! Kittens especially are motivated by quick movements to play and our hands become easy targets. Redirect her play instincts onto some ribbon toys (can send you links to good ones if you’d like) and if you do pet her and she does bite the best thing to do is freeze in place. You stop being interesting to play with when you don’t react. This will take a few times but eventually she will stop biting you. It also only works if she’s not biting hard enough to hurt you. We can talk more on Instagram (same handle) if you need more help!

@ hissing probably won’t do anything. The way we do it is just freeze in place. Sometimes cats will start to bite and if you pull your hand away they learn that all they have to do to get you to go away is bite you. If you don’t move they will try something else or just leave instead since they aren’t getting what they want.
