kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIHCoWOaoaiqoqs because the answer given there was somewhat misleading. there is no way that n0 will be 0.9. So we cannot regard 10% value as the variance per as it is and just use the formula

Correction: at time 12:32 the correct answer is (d) and not (c), the superficial velocity is 0.55 m/s. I ticked (c), but used the correct value for all the rest of the calculations - sorry for any confusion.

The video mentions a freely available book on Particle Technology (Chapter 2 for particle sizing), one download site for the book is at: particles.org.uk/particle_technology_book/particle_book.htm Please do download the chapter and do try the problems at the end of the chapter. You will know your particle size distributions very well when you have completed the problems. Richard Holdich
