You have a great little business/side hustle! Can you describe your process. First machine (grit), second grit, 3rd? What kind of sanders are these? You plug in or run off generator? How many do you do a day ?

I was reading something shortly after the first time I viewed this video about the Cold Steel knife seen here. Cold Steel made some knives for the CIA at that time without identifying marks on them. The one shown here was likely one of them.

You are awesome -- not necessarily for your knife sharpening (although you are great at sharpening) but the quality you have designed for your tools -- WELL -- I love it. Old man here that still uses an oil stone and a leather strop. QUESTION: What exactly did you do for the serrated blades?

Is 1000 grit usually where you deburr? ive notice i have a hard time feeling a burr past 600-800. It that just me or is it the grit?
@David-gldАй бұрын
I've found toothy edges to be much less durable. I polish my kitchen knives on an 8000 grit water stone. The edges last much longer. I just occasionally freshen the edge on a ceramic honig rod.

I enjoyed the video except the muzak was a little too loud and distracting at times and adds nothing to the viewing pleasure.

So no attempt to match blade angles?
@CurryCustomCutleryАй бұрын
Absolutely zero attempt...I drop the angle to about 15° on most everything to improve cutting performance. You cant go really below 12° without running into metal deformation but above that is fair game. Despite commmon misconceptions and half truths passed down this is totally ok. Real world testing proves it.

Whats that stropping compound your spraying on your leather belt? I have a 1x18 im using on my ken onion. Im currently using white compound.

I prefer 3u Diamond emulsion because of the lack of a compound residue to clean off after...

I ordered a drive wheel from you and received one of these wheels by mistake, after the order was fixed I was told to keep this wheel, so I decided to go ahead and replace the wheel but the bearing is too small, I hope there's not a big batch of these wheels that don't fit...Great video by the way, love your stuff!!
