That's not true lots of Paul players online. I just reached tekken god paul couple months ago fought a lot of mirror matches. Simple just customize him.

Xiaoyu`s AOP is definitely hitable. It has however a small Sidestep at activation build into it that causes additional evasion. It negates quite some moves but its beatable. ;) I like to knowlege check my opponents, especially when they mash and flowchart their offence. :)

Nina always been my girl since Tekken 2. THey made her Stance inputs a bit easier just like many other characters in tekken 8 like Law, Paul, Hwoarang, Eddy, and probably more

As an Alisa main, I appreciated your end comments. Play who you love and play it with respect. Best thing to do is get out of the lower tiers where everyone hates everyone. Basically if they cant run the combo train on them, that character should be nerfed. Ive never heard any character (that people actually play) not be hated by someone. I enjoy this character. Shes fun. Ive been a Nina main from Tekken 1 till Tekken 8. In a game where everyone is angry, its nice to have a whimsical character. Especially when she smiles at you and puts her head in your hands and you dont know what to do with it. Instead of learning the counter, you want to complain when someone does it 5 times in a row. Take that energy and learn the counter. Its the player more than the character. Make your opponent respect your game or punish them for not knowing what they are doing.

My friend introduced me to Lars in Tekken tag 2, I started playing with him cause of his style & rhythm then I left video games for almost 5 years but now I have started practicing again with Lars & he is so overpowered compared to TTT2

For casuals like me its characterization. From hero's rival, trough comeback underdog - suddenly joke character, looser and now hobo. Paul went from Tekken's Vergil to Meg Griffin.

I could never hate the kitty cat man. Most iconic fighting game character for me! I main him in every Tekken I play, and I'm the best I've ever been as him in Tekken 8!

never played her before the nerfs, i opened the game, i like coffee she likes coffee it seemed like a match made in heaven lol! She is fun and it feels rewarding when you win. The hesitations and the fun movement, the mix ups, all of it feels fun! She has range, some great throws and lows, great counter hit potential when you catch your opponent mashing for a chance to get a turn because sometimes it feels like if you just block her youll get picked apart but if you rush to get a hit in you're gonna get max damage comboed and her combos dont have to be linear and boring! I pray shes a main stay in the franchise because ive never even thought about playing another character

i'd say lower lee to bad lows, slide is launch punishable close, and easily reactable from far, as well as being quite linear, b3,3 is a move no lee should ever be using cause ur risking a full launch for 21 damge and untrue + frames, his other lows are way too slow, d3 is good tho, but it comes with the price of -15 and being linear not to mention not a single one of his lows knocks down on normal hit.

That'swhy they needed more then 9 episodes or at least a season 3

I think you said it best in this sentence "his play style is basic and that makes him hard against all the crazy attacks other characters have". Like I just feel so weak and too honest when I'm playing him, his only valid offense is df1 sway pressure and he has no scary lows from that and then compared to a character like Clive who can access a hellsweep from his df1,2 or other attacks that transition into Phx stance. Sure he has throws too but you have to actually get close to your opponent first to do them (same with demo man) and good luck doing that. I used to main him all through T7 and I reached blue ranks with him and I reached them again in this game but then I tried 3 other characters and already got a higher rank with them in maybe 1/10th of the play time. Comparing him further to Clive: At range 3 Clive can b2 into phx stance pressure, f1+2 or wr move into PHx pressure. Paul can only WR 2 or go for a qcf attack and you're basically guaranteed to get launched if you try to do a qcf attack lol.

I disagree with Alisa being super easy to rank up with. The only people who'd rematch you are people who steamrolled over you in the first game! Nobody else would rematch you after you chainsaw them to bits, so you have to work twice as hard as other characters waiting for matches to rank up with after one and dones. Same goes for Clive!

I am a Lars main and believe me he's very very difficult to play on Bushin + ranks cause he's neither broken nor has any OP move......And the fact you don't see him a lot in tournaments is the testament to this. Thanks man GGs

i am a steve main and i have spent hours trying to get better, idek how many days i spent trying to perfect my moves counter hit, utilizing more moves in ranked. this video helped alot tho, now i can rub it in my friends faces :)

hwoarangs best launcher is his JFSR his best move i think would be down back 4, it’s a nice low poke, it has a lot of mix up potential, and it’s relatively safe doing down back 4 after heat engaging moves is pretty strong too back 3 is a decent shout tho as his best move because it’s an easy launcher to throw out and it is an essential whiff punishing tool

I'm at the top of red rank (memorizing the names is hars) and it has begun being challenging and fun, many players start noticing my patterns as I do them, and we react to it, and we practice our responses and learn the match-up, that's pretty fun haha

As a beginner, picking him as my first character was a terrible decision. Other characters can do twice as much with half the effort.
