I made it to bushin about a week ago… but ranked is getting harder and harder .. especially at kishin… that’s when things get a lil hard. But it’s mainly cus blue players are like practice punching bags for gods of destruction because blue ranks are where they start at. But I’m getting better. My prowess is going up every month

Made it to red ranks in 4 separate rank sessions playing 5 sets at a time (to ease into ranked and out of anxiety) and reviewing those 5 sets before playing again. Ganryu ranked set I demoted and reranked to the same place 2x in the session. I'm working some things and switched to quick match for now to get more experience. Also, quick match fights are feeling more intense to me than ranked matches (even if rank is much lower than my own). Clues to why that is? Prowess system?

Had to go on a 16 win streak to get to Emperor yesterday. I'm in and out of Kishin to God. I derank sometimes to learn match ups idk. That's why the big gap in case anyone asks. I'll lose to a scrub Kishin Lydia but beat God Supreme match ups I know. But yeah, 10 win streak, lose 1 match to someone higher and there goes 1,400 points😂😂😂

It’s so annoying I’m a Raijin and I’ll play Tekken Kings and barley lose and even smash Bushin/Kisirin players pretty often and only get 250 points and if I lose to a mf Tekken King I get -1000…I really don’t get it. Clearly I can play the people 2-3 ranks above me and win half the time so why can’t I ever rank up man?

to a degree, the tekken community dosent give itself enough credit. everyone is so ready to point out rank inflation and while that may be the case, remember we have gotten several tools to help us learn more about the game, frame tools, somewhat of a tutorial, replays, have all helped the community develop a better understanding of the game as well. the rank increase overall across all players most likely had a bit to attribute to this.

I picked up Tekken 8 around April/May and it’s my first Tekken game in years and I’m at Battle Ruler. I’m still learning the mechanics of the game (Frames, Tracking, etc.) it’s literally a brand new game to me. I fight Fujins and above I win some and lose some. The Ranking System is very frustrating. Now I just play casual

Don't feel bad about rank game is balanced in such a way that a novice can beat an expert with tekken 8 mechanics. The people who are really good at the game have been playing consistently since 5 to 30 years ago.

I think another analysis is that it’s going up not because people are getting better but because the good players (tekken king+) have their alts promoting and filling those areas Matchmaking is based off prowess now so a Fujin rank first time vs a fujin alt are not the same skill Edit: you usually don’t match against the rank your character is in. I’ve got 180k prowess and I don’t vs people below 150 or above 220 usually

That’s how it used to be for me when I was around that rank but ever since I hit 239,000 .. it’s like I play against more god of destructions in quick play and I’m not even that good 😂. I still get to play against a lot of blue players but I actually feel like my skill levels closer to tekken empower

No, It counts your highest ranked character the most, but the other ones gives plus a percentage of the prowess, that's why there are certain people with 1 GoD that is 350k I think, but when you up another one it fulfills to 400k, an that 50k extra from the 300k is from free proms on the other ones soo... I know this because when I drop DJ for a couple of days to relax a little a downgraded reina and the prowess went down and up while my reina points where down and up, just not the same amount as with DJ mucho less in comparison ​@@mzg147

I just got to Mighty Ruler with Jun last night, it feels sooo nice to know that I'm officially slightly above average now lol, I'm honestly very proud of myself. A few weeks ago I though I'd never even leave Destroyer, but honestly once I got out of there, it's been kind of smooth sailing through Red Ranks, so I have definitely improved at the game, which is awesome!

I'm brand new to Tekken, started shortly after Sajam Slam 1, and with the help of one 30 minute coaching session and a lot of personal study I've made it to Mighty Ruler. I've never really been great at fighting games so it feels like a huge achievement, and I am loving learning process

I think the hard part about blue ranks I’ve ran into is getting out against people in tekken god ranks on the 2nd or 3rd characters Makes it harder and I have to spend more time labing when I get hodied

Gotta say of all matches i played (don't remember the exact amount but it's around 5000) ,fought actual GoD's just maybe up to 10 times on their sub char. So not only GoD's on their subs are improving other characters. I managed to fight with player who was the best AK in Tekken 7 in my region ( im from Poland btw). And man, some GoD's i played are easier to beat. And dude got like tekken Emperor with king. I stayed at Fujin for now. Played with dude who made with Nina to God against he's Jun. Not that he was easy or something but i guess we all struggle in the end. I won 2-1 and it was close

I've only been playing ranked for about 2 weeks now and I'm almost Garyu. I try to rank up at least one everyday. I'm really glad I saw this video because I swear some of these red ranks I fight should *NOT* be red rank and it's super upsetting to fight them. Dope video & thanks for the encouraging words 🤘🏾

One thing that I'd like to add is : Put yourself high and low goals. High goals : be on the highest rank. Low goal : just win 2-3 fights in a row every day. (You just need not to get lower from where you started each day)

Mate your videos are so based so positive, and good analysis. Kudos to you love the content. Also thanks for not copy pasting words from other streamers, rank inflation, and similar non sense. :) Maybe try to do video, is it worth it past Fujin to rank up? Even battle ruler. I think top ranks are more toxic, you get stacked with god of destruction and legacy players sub characters, not the mention plugging and t-bagging all the time from better players. I even see it in quick matchers which should be like more relaxed.

Have you reached Tekken King? Essentially after reaching TK, you are thrown into a subgroup of Blue rank players that were invisible to you before, all with 200k-240k prowess. That’s the reason blue is popular. There are two sides.

Don‘t worry bro, that’s basically what ranked game is about. Sometimes you drop 1-2 ranks, sometimes you climb 1-2. That’s just what you have to be ready to deal with, keep learning and improving 🫶🏼

When I start to lose in ranked, I feel like it's better to just get demoted and aim on getting the previous rank back again. You actually end up being in a better spot - more towards the middle of the rank than at the low end. Just noticed...that's a pretty big difference between Ganryu and Shinryu, and Fujin and Raijin

I am a newbie in tekken, my main is a Raven. It took me about 1 month to get Fujin, then after 2 weeks I got Raijin. Once I faced GoD xiaoyu (2/3; almost won, lol) BUT SOMETIMES I am struggling against Mighty Rulers on Alisa, Victor and etc. Now I am trying to learn leverless controller and it's way harder than I thought.....

imo I think your rank means more depending on the character you got it with, like there’s no way the average Jin or Dragunov main in purple ranks has a better understanding of small Tekken, the punishes, matchups, when to sidestep etc than a Steve or Bryan main in purple ranks, cause the bullshit of those characters can take you so much further than lower tier characters

Also I think people who play characters with very low popularity (Raven, Zafina etc) who aren’t the strongest, but are so full of knowledge checks and gimmicks they can cruise up to purple ranks by learning all the little details about their character without worrying too much about the matchups

I got to Fujin not too long ago and my first 2 matches to get to Raijin, I got plugged on. I don’t really know when or IF the devs are ever going to clean up the infestation of pluggers but it’s making the game nearly unplayable

The more you play the further you go. After start I had very high win ratio (20 streak from start) and went straight to Orange, then thought this is it at Red, now I am Kishin, and I think will hit Tekken God but just need more time. Playing 5 hours a weeks is not optimal, you want to have fun in rankeds, but you should lab champs 😂

I hit mighty ruler with Eddy several months ago, but then deranked. I'm still trying to get any of my dozen shinryu's up to mighty ruler. It's hard for me to break past Tenryu. Some of the Flame Rulers and Battle Rulers come in and punt me back down to Garyu. I've just selected XiaoYu to start focusing on. Maybe I will master her and rocket beyond.

Bruhhh Fujin-Tekken King Players are just monsters. It’s constantly gauntlet after gauntlet. No easy wins ever. I made it to Tekken King with Lili twice but, now dropped all the way down to Kishin.. Depends. You could legitimately get blue ranks easy just by doing wacky strings and grabbing people the level of play is really that low. It's okay if you're able to maintain that rank but if you're bouncing around between ranks then it's not as good.

Fujin and Raijin has too big of a skill difference imo. Fujin and Battle Ruler are almost interchangeable (as someone who used to bounce between the 2) but Raijin is definitely a good rank.

Honestly, the only ranks that mean shit to me are Tekken god and above. Tekken 8 made it too easy for new players to climb the ranks, I'm personally stuck at shinryu cause i stopped playing ranked a while ago, yet i usually play with tekken god friends.

Tbh it’s not even about rank anymore. If you have a certain tekken prowessyou will vs only people within your prowess. The system is really messed up with the rank system

Got flame ruler with kazuya and stopped playing ranked cause i really hate the system, i've been on and off the game since release... i only play casuals but i wish i could fight ppl at kishin and above without going through ranked
