Maytag commercial washer has a 1/2 horsepower motor unlike standard washer which has a 1/3 horsepower motor. and commercial has less control run options and a faster run cycle...

I have the one that says commercial technology and the matching gas dryer. Been going strong for almost a decade. At least 3-4 laundry loads per week. Cost much less than the fancy front loaders. I have friends that go through Samsungs and LGs every few years and keep buying them like they are status symbols.

Okay.... I'll Go with "Commercial" technology! I've used an older model washer like this and actually it works quite well....when you figure out the correct combination of cycle, water temperature and water level. The Normal cycle without options is not going to do a good job.
