Magic Fingers! Take your wins where you find them. Maybe that white residue was just enough to jam it? I don't know what the starting torque is on those, but judging by how weakly the magnets pulled the rotor into position after you spun it, it can't be very high. The SpeedQueen TCL5...isn't that the one with the real hot water and genuine rinse(s) and true agitation with an indexing tub?

Magic fingers. That was a pump and dump. Do you ever get any high end stuff? Bosch, Miele, Viking, or Sub Zero? That would interesting to see some of those. Did you ever make any progress with the Amana Radar Range?
@LAapplianceguy17 күн бұрын
@@scotts4125 we rarely see those units. Some Bosch though. Problem for us is getting parts on the brands sometimes. Haven’t messed with the radar range. I still have it. Just haven’t mess around with it.
@ethelryan25717 күн бұрын
@@LAapplianceguy You no doubt know this, but the earlier Radarranges had a funny set up on the fuse. If the switches didn't close in the right pattern, it blew. Not quite the same logic as modern systems use.

@LAapplianceguy17 күн бұрын
@@TermitesRGood1 not following. But if you are saying you have a dishwasher that you need to clean. The best thing is vinegar. But you have to time it properly. Because you can’t just dump it in. You need to allow the unit to fill and run and drain and the go into the main wash cycle that’s when you open the door and dump it in. Vinegar is great for breaking down the detergents and grime. Hope that’s what you mean. Thanks for watching 👍

Imported dishwashers (Bosch, LG, Samsung, etc) suck at drying!! Only American brand dishwashers have heated dry (heating element). Only buy American brand dishwashers!! I have a Bosch and the drying sucks!! MAGIC FINGERS
@ethelryan25717 күн бұрын
It's funny you say that, our 40 and 50 year old Potscrubbers never have the 'heated dry' option turned on...but our inlet temperature is 140F and we always use rinse aid and the hi-temp setting. I wonder whether that has to do with how well these machines dry? Too cool a final rinse? Not enough rinse aid?
@xcmskim417 күн бұрын
Rinse aid has pretty bad chemicals that are known for causing problems to reproductive, gut, and immune health. Rinse aid helps if you have hard water but I live in NYC where we have "soft" water. The sanitize option on the Bosch does raise the temperature but it still does not dry. In order for a dishwasher to dry properly, it must (1) vent the steam and (2) wash at high heat. That's why the door pop open on Samsung. All American brands and LG have a vent or vent fan. Bosch does not have vents and no heated dry because they focus on quietness and energy efficiency (vents contribute to more room noise).
@ethelryan25717 күн бұрын
@@xcmskim4 We live off-grid, so use well water run through extensive processing/softening and rain-water. When it rains. I've followed the rinse-aid discussion for decades. There just is not enough hard evidence for me to stop using it. Certainly, there are some people who have sensitivities to some of them. I am glad you brought it up, time to do some research on more modern studies.

The 800 series has heat right?
@xcmskim416 күн бұрын
@@LAapplianceguy It has a heating system but its not a heater. Its purpose is for the crystal dry function. I have a 2015 Bosch 500 series and the drying sucks (no heat, no crystal dry, no vent). My workplace has a Bosch 300 and that too has crappy drying.
