Both beautiful watches. I only have one MRG and it is the MRG-B2000. I would like an MRG Frogman but it is a bit too expensive for me. Excuse my ignorance but I have two of the analogue Frogmen with straps and cannot get a good fit, it is either too tight or too loose. How does the MRG Frogman compare in terms of flexibility in sizing? Thanks. BTW I believe the Frogman back is made of sapphire crystal. You could test it with a Diamond Tester 2. Those are quite cheap and it is useful to be able to confirm that the watch has real sapphire crystal. I buy quite a few used watches so it is a handy way to check to see if the watch is authentic.

Im confident it is sapphire because Casio indicates it on the website. My beef, however, is the fact that, in my opinion, a titanium back would be better than a sapphire back.

Thanks for the vid. Literally couldn't find any info how to do this. Too bad Casio doesn't sell that titanium band separately. Would be nice to swap with that titanium band on the red one.

You can order one for over 1k from Pacparts. For some reason the limited edition yellow one is slightly cheaper then the bracelet from the new red one.

Amazing piece and love mine. It’s such a good watch. Wears great on the rubber and comfortable for its size. It’s well balanced on wrist and has a great presence.

Beautiful. I wish I could afford one :) I have two of the 'normal' GWF-A1000s but the fit is not good for me, probably due to the strap holes being too far apart IMO.

The MRG is designed very different so it wears far better than the A1000 from my experience. The A1000 never wore well on my wrist and the strap was uncomfortable for me. The MRG is in another class. The rubber is high end subtle soft and the watch is super comfortable, I’ll dare say more comfortable than any square that I own.

The sapphire caseback is supposed to improve the reception of the atomic timekeeping. Whether or not it actually makes much of a differnce is beyond me. I find it odd though that they make a big deal about having the crown always align perfectly meanwhile the caseback crystal engraving never does. I do like being able to see the antenna though. You can order the bracelet from the other versions but it's quite pricey at over 1k. I will stick to the rubber strap for now

I have the titanium bracelet and it’s cool but no micro adjustments whatsoever… not even manual holes. So … it’s risky. I only wear mine in the cooler weather.

@@douglaskrueger357 Yeah same as the orignal mrg 1100. At least a couple of microadjustment points would be nice

@@Jlingsw I think at that price, all MRG watches should have micro adjustments without question. I think it’s time Casio made it happen, especially when micro brands are even making good ones. It’s kinda a shameful.

@@douglaskrueger357 Yeah I agree it wouled be nice but these models are so niche they probably don't believe it's worth investing in designing their own adjustable clasp. At least the rubber strap is high quality and comfortable

Another well done vid, thanks. Appreciate your experienced pros and cons from wearing the watch. Grading on aesthetics, hard to compete with the (perfect) dial face of original Seamaster 300s--a different era, so understand your "boring" critic. Gotta love fixed lugs (CWC divers), these Manta Lugs, so curious on your take on the Tudor FXD MN, grade 2 titanium acknowledged. Thanks, PMc

The movement is phenomenal. Its not a spring drive though. Look up spring drive in grand seiko divers...look at the temperature variances, the accuracy, the gliding seconds hand is a plus. Spring drive is the biggest thing in horology. When people say Omegas co-axial is the biggest thing in horology history, thats a total joke. Anyone hating on spring drive saying its not mechanical is also a joke. Spring drive movements have 292 parts, everything is the same as a mechanical except the escapement and balance wheel pretty much. Spring drive uses a "glide wheel" instead of a "balance wheel". Edit: i subbed to you btw. This wasnt to you, but to a commenter. Youre an extremely knowledgeable watch enthusiast and its refreshing and fun to listen to all the research you are sharing. Thank you.

Im curious: Do the professional 300m He gas Seiko models also have better protection for lets say; a climb on mt everest or a trip to the moon?

Hard to say, the fastened crystal is cool but not sure that matters on the moon or everest. I dont think pressure is the critical element in these enviroments, but temperature likely would be.

@vote4blake curious what difference between a Seiko 300m vs Seiko professional 300m matters? Like the new 62mas SPB models, are 300m...but the mm300 is pro 300m...so is mm300 going to be a better build quality? Also are GS diver's better than the spb 300m 62 mas ?
