One of my favorite actors I've always liked him except for the religion stuff. Yet given his situation I can understand how he would need something to rely on. I hope he didn't suffer too much before he went. Getting old my grandpa said isn't for sissies.

Joan has a much better interview with the Pioneers. She's asked pertinent questions and given time to explain them. They also respect her, which isn't something this guy is doing.

What a man, what a legend, what a fine way to say goodbye to everyone that loved him from afar. I remember watching him and President Reagan wither away. It was painful. This interview makes it a bit better.

Yeah, he presents it as if she is the difficult one; the one looking for a fight who cannot help herself but get into scraps. No, dude, YOU are the difficult one; the one looking for a fight who cannot help yourself but push buttons. She's simply a confident woman who doesn't take your petty attempts to stir shit up. She is an icon; you're a wannabe.

Dynasty, Dallas and Knots Landings always remind of the time I spent with my mom. It was just "us" time. We talked about everything and anything, some not related to the shows. When I "came out" of the closet of course my mom was the first person. I did it right when Stephen shared on Dynasty. My mom said" I knew, so let's just continue the show and that I'm the only son and not daughter that watched the show out of all her friends. We laughed and to this day it was never an issue including my dad.

The biggest mistake he made here is he didn't build a rapport with Joan, before the interview. He also thought he'd done his homework by just reading her book, but failed to know the do's and don'ts of questioning someone like her. She needs constant flattery and SHE will do the self deprecating. Never try it the other way around. Yikes!

i liked him as an actor but not as an NRA guy. im against guns.
@drewmorrison3 ай бұрын
People hate him for the NRA but whatever you think about gun control, you have to respect him for standing up for something he believed in. The NRA basically meant he would be done with his movie career and he did it because it was important to him.

Charlton Heston. Observe and UNDERSTAND how the media spins things! Overshadowing. Heston does less for the NRA (making him look weak, an effective technique), the interviewer is not a medical expert, but masquerades as he is, because of perceived clout. If you look from the outsider point of view, we can see how these elderly people were easily manipulated. Take care of the old, for they took care of you.
