That gossip was probably why those guys only lasted a few days.... Alexis should have hired a senior first secretary, made redundant by company mergers. She'd need no training. She'd know everybody in town, and beyond. She might not have a diploma on the wall, but she'd be able to solve every crisis, and offer input if needed. She'd be a premium "Vesta Rose"... 🌹 But then I doubt Alexis ever read anything by Fay Weldon.
