Thanks for the video very informative to get better in translation. By the way I think “ compresa fría “ will be little difficult to understand for some people !🙂

Thanks for the example terms, we should stay away from literal translations. And by the way, localization of the term should be an issue since it depends on the origen of your LEP on the other side!

Thank you, I got two wrong. I can see why compresa fria is the correct translation compared to bolsa de hielo because to say heat pad its compresa caliente.

Just a small clarification of usage for "ICE PACK" could be compresa fria o bolsa de hielo. Which is normally used when someone sprankles an ancle or have a strong pain in the knees, less probablably to be used in the back or in the tommy when having cramps. I might be mistaken, I am talking as an overall idea in Mexico.

I am enjoying your channel very much. You’re very knowledgeable, you have more experience as an interpreter than I, as a matter of fact I have zero experience. However, as a native English speaker , I’d like to suggest saying “food poisoning” rather than “food poisoned”. Also, your pronunciation of the word Chilean is inaccurate. If you look up the pronunciation it would help you to see the difference. Thank you for listening. I think we can all learn from one another. I taught English in Mexico for many years. But my Spanish needs a lot of work. I love it when people correct me, I view it as a great help to develop my language skills. Thank you for your channel.

Great content. Nevertheless, I have a comment regarding to the pronunciation of Chilean. In my humble opinion, it is incorrect.

I'm just hearing what I heard when I was completing my 40-hour interpreting certificate : practice, practice, practice. It's basically a "work-your-butt-off" kind of a goal, but spacing out my learning over months has exponentially helped me to absorb words and symbols when I'm practicing. Thanks for all the help and I highly recommend Nanyi's resources! I'll probably be signing up for another 6 months soon as I look to finally get fully certified (Hub-CMI right now).

Hi !!! I have a small question For example when Im making some mocks I take notes but sometimes I can’t take all the words that had been sayed. So I take the key words and explain it in a more general way. ? Sometimes the mock calls are really long so I lose some words! But not the key ones ! Its ok to do it so?

May I know what is the difference between taking notes when you do OPI vs VRI? I used to be an OPI and I took note on my computer bc they couldn’t see me. With VRI when they see what you’re doing on camera, how do we take notes? Which is easier? On computer or on a piece of paper? Thank you
