Hello, I am Maximo, from Spain. Is it possible to find interpreting jobs worldwide or do they require a specific location? I think I love this job and I could perform it very well since I am bilingual (English - Spanish as well). Your video is very clear and concise. Thank you for posting it¡

May I know what is the difference between taking notes when you do OPI vs VRI? I used to be an OPI and I took note on my computer bc they couldn’t see me. With VRI when they see what you’re doing on camera, how do we take notes? Which is easier? On computer or on a piece of paper? Thank you

Hi I am starting with interpretation. I studied translation but I would like to work without a schedule and make some money as an interpreter. Could you please share the names of the companies for which you work for remotely? I don't like driving either

Hi. You can learn more about krisp here krisp.ai/ I wrote a blog post with detailed information about the table and pen I use here: nanyimateo.com/transitioning-from-pen-and-paper-note-taking-to-digital-note-taking/ For quick reference, I use a Samsung Galaxy S7 and it comes with its own pen. I work for different agencies that send me appointments requests. I have the option to accept or decline them according to my schedule availability. I also work on-demand by connecting to the interpretation platform when I'm available and receiving calls (not prescheduled). Hope that answers your question :)

Hello Georgina, you write one year ago, did you already get that interpreter job you wanted? I studied at MiTio, online, and I am about to get my CMI (Medial Interpreter Certification). Just in case you are still searching for some agency.

@@interpremed I'm guessing that Spanish is unique because there is a lot of demand for it. Generally speaking unfortunately, it pays its interpreters less than other less common languages. I speak Japanese, so generally I would be paid more, however, isn't it also true that across the board among all the freelance interpreter positions(not in house) for languages like Japanese, the call volume is sporadic, and finding many hours of work is very hard? I get the feeling that that's the case with Japanese because there are so few needing Japanese interpretation.

@@richardwilliamsmusic Hi, Richard. If you work for a big interpreting agency you can get a fair number of hours. Also working with direct clients helps. A lot of linguists diversify their income so they do interpretation, translation, and language classes to have different streams of income. You can also learn another language to complement your Japanese so you have enough work.
