It's certainly not ALL junk. Some are goners but people have said this about many cars Trucks and bikes when they look so bad in the wild with terrible looking rotted seats and shocks etc. But it's amazing what cleaning and hen if possible running the engines will do. Not for all but that's okay if you can take the time to do the work.

Great fun Great car and you guys are GREAT! Isn't that G.....Grand?? LOL. Hey I notice that as I check out some of your older vids (I enjoy them thank you!) That many times a car gets pulled out or made to run etc then we never see the car again. I understand that you definitely can't keep most of them but I just wish we knew a bit more sometimes as to "What happened to the Fairmont or the Gremlin etc. (I'm just throwing the names of cars I noticed in the video choices I really am not trying to find out about those models in particular). Thanks again.

I had to change my fuel pump at work and used a parts store refurbished pump. The next week it blew the seal that it crimped into the body of the pump and siphoned the gas tank that was full. Luckily someone in the parking lot had a pair of vice grip they loaned me to get the line pinched off. Went with a new AC delco after that. Net time it will be an Edelbrock upgrade.

That thing looks ready to go car camping in. When I did mine for the Power Tour, I put some Bilstein B6's on it all around, and it got me through the Tail of the Dragon and was still comfortable. WIX Fuel Filter - 33482 off of an 1984 Corvette is a great in-line filter that I'd highly recommend. I've also heard the 1981 Brake Booster and Master Cylinder is an improvement to the older ones, might want to look into that if you end up putting more time into it. Another thing I would do is inspect that driver side seat rail, the driver's seat will throw you out of the car while you're driving. Also double check that lower grill, they fall off easily and are near impossible to replace. You'd probably have a lot of luck selling it on NastyZ28, the 2nd gen forums.

There is a full video of this car, we get it mechanically as good as it can be and clean it up. After that it went to a new owner to build it into a "sleeper".

I get that this video's three months old but just a little trick when using a wench take your floor mat and throw over the cable so if it breaks and gets bound up on your trailer it doesn't snap and sling off and hit a dog or an operator just a little trick from an old-timer

After making sure it was good to go and cleaned, we listed it on marketplace. We didn't have this one very long at all as it sold rather quickly. The new owners then did a complete overhaul of the interior and had it listed online.

The seatbelt may be loose when harnessed bc that was an option and 1981 was the last year for that option. Meaning, when harnessed you could double pull the seatbelt and it would lock in place with slack in the seatbelt.
