Not One But Two Alfred Bruder Waldkirch Fairground Organs in the UK

The Hollycombe Steam In The Country working steam museum held a special event weekend on the 21st-22nd September 2024. This event was the Festival Of Mechanical Music which brought together these two superb German fairground organs. The instrument on the left is a 46 keyless organ owned and presented by Paul & Alison Kirrage. The 52 keyless to the right is owned and presented by Brian Hunt.

The thing that makes this organ so unique is the soldier figure it looks almost like a wooden toy one.

No idea if this is the organ's original bandmaster. A lot of organ figures were chopped and changed over the years.

Yes, I have an earlier cassette recording of it when it was painted in more of a fairground style. Any idea when it was repainted? Grateful for your comment.

I see you happened to capture me mid recording session! Hopefully my equipment wasn't in your way. This was the first time I'd heard this lovely little organ play so I was quite eager to get some good footage of it.
