What a jerk of a manager. Elvis and the other musicians should have found a better manager, and someone to take care of Elvis when he was sick. Men alone are not good of thinking about those issues. He could have lived longer if there where the right people to take care of him - stop the madness are go home to relax. It is all a very sad story.

And of course it was Elvis's money he lost. He made Elvis play shows to pay his gambling debts and still demanding to get paid by the casino

Marty sure didnt care for Geller. Marty's 3 part, taped phone interviews are good. The reason he didn't go to the funeral is bitter sweet.

Gladys did not like Parker at all. He boosted his career, but there were way more negatives surrounding Parker. If Gladys had lived, things would have been quite different.

Like Lamar always said, "Elvis took drugs because he LIKED them." Elvis and Dr. Nick had a completely unprofessional relationship. Dr. Nick was charged three different times for overprescribing, and eventually lost his license.

Yes. Elvis was and still is the most famous gracious kind giving generous loving man ever ever !! His name is still mentioned nearly everyday somewhere in the world. He was humble. Always ready to do whatever he could for anyone. Great musically and a great actor. Parker did wrong by him and p was.only after money. Elvis wouldnt have died if he could really have done something but his poor body had had enough. Just imagine being. Elvis there alone having a heart attack alone. No one comes to your help. Imagine that. And see how you would feel !!!! Elvis will always be remembered !!

When I was very small in the 1960s my parents decided to drive across country to Disneyland for me. After visiting the theme park for many days my father took us around LA as my mother was interested in 'Hollywood' and the chance perhaps to see the stars. After a day of course of touring and driving and stopping at tourist spots we saw no one. My father sensing my mother's disappointment decided to drive up to the gates of one of the studios. He got out of his car and starting speaking to the security guard basically saying 'he was hoping his wife could see/meet someone'. The guard got on the phone and we heard him say, 'there's a young lady out here who wants to meet you'. To our surprise we were allowed to drive onto the studio grounds. And then when we stopped our car, there to our amazement Elvis came out to greet us. He shook our hands and saw our camera and asked my father to take a photo of him with my mother. While waiting for the photo, my mother said only one thing, 'are you really Elvis?', to which he replied, 'somebody has to be'. Today they are all gone but I cherish the photo and this memory.

The Memphis Mafia destroyed Elvis before he died. Elvis was under so much stress because all his so called friends that he allowed into his home that he shared and trusted his secrets backstabbed Elvis because Vernon fired them. They were no longer on Elvis’s payroll so what a better way to get back that to write a book entitled Elvis: What Happened? When Elvis heard about this he was hurt and felt betrayed. Sonny West secretly recorded Elvis I read that Elvis about had a breakdown over the book saying he felt ashamed to even perform on stage. If they truly cared about Elvis and his prescription drugs they should have talked in private, not all his fans! Those guys wrote many books after Elvis died. So many people used him for his money.

I wasn’t there. I don’t know the inside story of it all, but from an outsiders perspective, I think Priscilla was justified in her wants. She lived in Graceland for 4 years give or take before they got married. She invested a significant amount of time with Elvis, so I can see how at some point she’d expect marriage. She had self respect, and simply being there when Elvis felt like giving her attention wasn’t what she wanted. Most of the Memphis mafia were rednecks having the time of their lives, and willing to do whatever Elvis wanted to keep that lifestyle going for themselves. Say what you want about her character, but Pricilla is a badass, and very intelligent. She saved Graceland from bankruptcy, and ensured that she and her family would be financially set for life. Regardless of whether Elvis wanted to marry her or not, that’s the kind of woman who isn’t a trophy wife, but a partner. The fact that she was a certified babe back then doesn’t hurt either

The day elvis's mom died half of his soul went with her. This left him vulnerable to his manager's control. Because his mom had always been his guiding light. Then his pop died in the 70s and the other half was gone. Pricilla leaving him was probably the final nail on the coffin. He was left with nothing. Despite all the money, fame, girls, adoration it meant nothing if he couldn't have what he truly loved. The drugs and food were a way to cope with the loneliness.
