just had my first 4S run with mine. Whohoo. Add a gyro, tape the inside of the body, potentially stronger servo and it is a monster. £224 at Modelsport and Wheelspin...serious bargain

I want one! Beautifully truck. Have you been doing more bashing in wet conditions ? Did you have any issues with bearings? I have heard that these are not rubber sealed, so wet conditions can kill them quite fast. What's tour though on that ?

Don't forget to re-oil your bearings after a wet run or..... bath.

Actually it's not quite as fast as the slightly cheaper and slightly smaller 1/10 scale size HPI MAVERICK STRADA RX RALLY BRUSHLESS car, which can do in excess of 50+ mph, on 3s power, for around the £200 mark. It is slightly smaller and slightly cheaper but is the better performer RC RALLY CAR at the price. If you want the best of the best top performance 1/8 scale RC rally car around, then the 1/8 HPI MAVERICK FLUX R just isn't that car, because that title belongs to the 1/8 HPI WR8 FLUX 3 BRUSHLESS. Sorry to say that the 1/8 HPI MAVERICK FLUX R is the piggy in the middle, and is beaten by its smaller sibling the STRADA RX BRUSHLESS, and its older and new bigger brother the WR8 FLUX 3 BRUSHLESS model. There is only one other 1/8 scale brand with top spec road / rally capability, and that is the HoBao HYPER GT BRUSHLESS. I have 2 of each of the MAVERICK STRADA RX RALLY, WR8 FLUX 3 BRUSHLESS, and the HoBao HYPER GT BRUSHLESS. when you own the best performance RC rally cars of best in their class, you don't need the piggy in the middle with the worst performance of the bunch. But if performance, speed, and specs don't matter to you, and you just want a slower cheap 1/8 scale RC car, then i say buy it, but just don't expect it to be better than the best of the rest slightly smaller and or the more expensive RC rally cars options there are .

Maybe practice driving before uploading a video, why would you pour water and dishwashing liquid on a new rc car that is definitely not waterproof
