It has discharge lamp so I prefer fos techologies iridium beam 75 because it has LED lamp and the same fixtures but not 16 facet prism just 8 facet prism and it cost 400-460$

not often i see a dj log where a person shows this depth of knowledge and understanding when it comes to a properly set up speaker systems, down to the power supply and types and cables and everything. either grew up in it or lot of schooling. only grip i have is where the ld was setup at the end, terrible spot!

I remember the days of sketchy desert parties out in the middle of nowhere, not knowing where we are setting up until the last minute. Then having to break down everything and bug out in a hurry so we don't get our gear impounded. lol Legitimate desert parties and events are so much less stressful.

Nice! That was my High school in 2004-2006 I graduated in 2008 from Ironwood. I left Arcadia before they finished rebuilding the school. That school had a really good music and media production program and was one of the reasons I got into production and sound.

100% Over Kill. Bad on the school for having it outside and so spread out. And the setup was Ok... But haze doesn't work that good outside. You could've done same amount of moving heads with less trusts. Just my opinion.

Nice rig, but I dont like the programming. Im not a fan of this "flower power" approach, there might be some few songs where you can use the whole rainbow, but generally you should try to stick with a color palette of 2-3 colors, not more, per song. Colors should also only be used for effects, not for lighting up the artists. Stick with some static white light for that unless you want them to look like aliens. You should also have some static light from top/back for the artist, idealy fixtures with colors but also good white, white is the more important here. A no-go is to cut out your frontlight with chaser, strobe, etc., you never want your artists in the dark. Keep in mind that the guests are there to SEE/HEAR THE ARTISTS, NOT THE LIGHTSHOW. The light should only support the music, not compete with it. If you stick to these design rules, you cant do a bad lightshow (unless you perma-strobe or try to re-enact a seizure)

Very neat stuff! Still working on my stuff with the Ryan Kilgore Foundation in Georgia. They’re basically doing everything from production to helping with getting me sponsorships and the rest of the event. As for the Swedish House Mafia thing, its more of a mutual promotional thing (I promote their style to help promote my stuff and style). That part is definitely complicated but i know a lot of people through the foundation who is helping me make this happen.

Some points on DMX: RDM - Remote Device Management (With RDM there are some debuging tools e.g. you can see wich fixtures are online) The most common problem with DMX is the missing terminator. On a few meters and a few lights, it doesnt matter most often, but flickering lights are nearly always caused by signal reflection at the end of line when theres no terminator to dump them. The DMX512-A standard allows for 32 devices in a chain (with a terminator), anything above isn´t guaranteed to work. Depending on the fixtures, it´s generaly adviced to not chain more than 16. If you have a lot of off-brand devices and enough splitter ports, I would recommend even less. If its only brand devices and 110 Ohm cable (not standard microphone cable), you can easily do more than 40. You did a good job on the splitter placement, always use a star topology with splitters and don´t put it behind the first fixtures.

I understand how to dmx and RGB strip but how do I program it into show express? Please help me
@armandminghi9165
@armandminghi9165 2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the model you have. You can select a variety of RGB strips within the fixture library on sXp. Look for one that functions exactly as your does. ie. Same channels of control, characteristics, and values. If you can't find one that will work, you can build your own fixture and assign each channel manually by following the manual of your fixture. Its time consuming, but it should work. I should add, it might not work correctly in the 3D view. Play around with it and see what you can do.
