How do you actual do the DMX connection and patching? Do you daisy chain everything or do you run each type of fixure into a Chauvet Rack?

I should mention that I daisy chain my light bar, and leave the first fixture in the chain open, then just plug in one of my wireless DMX receivers and turn it on before I put it up. So I run the whole bar off one DMX Receiver. And then individual receivers for our various other lights on stands where it makes more sense than daisy chaining would.

You should be able to just use a dongle if I’m not mistaken

It depends on the model you have. You can select a variety of RGB strips within the fixture library on sXp. Look for one that functions exactly as your does. ie. Same channels of control, characteristics, and values. If you can't find one that will work, you can build your own fixture and assign each channel manually by following the manual of your fixture. Its time consuming, but it should work. I should add, it might not work correctly in the 3D view. Play around with it and see what you can do.
