the universe was conspiring against me while i was making this video and randomly deleted it when i was doing the final touches on editing 😑 luckily i had a saved version, but now there’s these little ticking noises throughout the whole thing. i didn’t want to postpone putting it out and start from scratch, so hopefully the bad sound doesn’t bother you as much as it does for me. either way, thanks for watching. lemme know what your fave project is in there. xoxo

it depends on the project, but i usually end up using the KILZ2. i think that’s what i used it for this since i had some left over. it’s good stuff :)

Im not big into trends but OH MAN ive been dreaming of painting the ceiling in the garage black for a while. I wanted to wait to be sure, its such a bold choice, and we might sell in the next 5y, and black is tough to cover.... but hotdamn that looks great. It wouldnt be a turn off most buyers at least, right? Its not like brightly colored kitchens, its badass neutral, right? Why am i still trying to justify it?? I love it, cant wait
@brewcitybuildsАй бұрын
you should totally do it! i think black is a great color for the garage since it hides scuff marks and things like that. i was actually considering painting our whole garage black at one point, so i fully support you doing it. you’re gonna love it! thanks for watching :)

Hey hey! Now that it’s been a few months, do you feel like you put enough gravel and sand? I saw videos of people putting 4 inches of gravel. 🫠 I feel like that’s soooo much more money. I’d prefer to just do 1.5 inches of gravel and 1.5 of sand with the 1 inch paver if I can get away with it
@brewcitybuilds2 ай бұрын
we had a lot of rain this spring and it was literally flooded over the patio a few times , so i was nervous it was going to mess everything up, but it’s still totally level. i think you can get away with 2 inches of gravel and sand. are you in a dryer climate? then it would be totally fine.

For whatever reason my favorite part of making furniture is sawing parts and doing hidden fancy joinery. But your video style feels really fresh to me and I really enjoyed it, despite not having the usual parts that I tend to seek out. I think it's great that diy projects allow for anyone to find the angle that makes it enjoyable for themselves, even though I'm my case it can turn a bit masochistic due to my aforementioned hangups! Anyway, that's a long-winded comment from a wordy Norwegian who really liked your video about a shelf!
