It looks great. At the risk of upsetting you and being controvercial, I want to share my opinion with you Dan...... I don't think you should eat-out or inform kids, that eating as a family in a restaraunt 3 - 5 times a week, is in any way 'normal', or a lazy default-position, for the role of a wife, husband or family unit. OR even to justify it, by saying that it is cheap to do so in Thailand. Something just doesn't feel right, about this kind of set-up. You're not on holiday, you live there ! How about a BBQ in the back garden, with neighbours, or wife home cooks ? Something just feels weird about seeing you and your kids, eating out all the time. Will they learn to cook ? Live ? Learn about the real life ?

You can talk about location and value and shopping, convenience etc. etc. as much as you want and you're not wrong, but at the end of the day it's a smelly dirty shithole and the sex worker capital of the world famous for being full of prostitutes with horrible people from other countries roaming around everywhere all year round. How many people will run, is not clear. Too many other places for retirement. I could never recommend Thailand as a good place for retirement. Too many changes in immigration policy and laws. Now they wish to tax the hell out of the people.

You can buy land in her name but own the house and lease the Land for 30 years just buy a knock down house and move it if you split up and make sure you buy cheap Land for around 400.000 TB so it's not a great loss
