I am always curious why there are discrepancies in otherwise very intelligent doctors. Some I follow say that as we age we should get 1 graham of protein per ideal body weight which I have to say, being 59 is incredibly hard to do, especially daily. They say animal protein is best. I have been following you for 25 years and you say try to limit animal protein. What's the disconnect here? Love any insight.

I'm afraid of what they'll find out about artificial sweeteners down the road so if I want something sweet I will use a little raw sugar or honey (it has antibacterial properties) not bad for your mouth but make sure you rinse with water after you eat 😊

For a Cold nothing works better than: Garlic(US works the best). I will let a cold do it's thing for a few days and when I figure I've had enough I will cut the stem off, crush and chop 2-3 times and down the hatch with just enough water to get down nicely ONLY an a very empty stomach at least 2/day or 3 times if I feel the symptoms coming back and for at least 3 days. Every time when I first start this the symptom's are literally gone in 5 hours. Yes this is true👍

To augment the value of these gems, explore the herbs available: turmeric with black pepper, garlic, ginger, rosemary, peppermint, sage, thyme or curry or schwarma seasoning, for instance. Add these for those who especially favors these flavors. Or, turn them on to your favorite(s) !

It’s wild to me that people unilaterally trust science even when scientists quibble amongst themselves lol. It should make all of us suspect of anything, but instead people just use motivated reasoning to pick and choose which science is good and de facto and which science is bad. It makes no freaking sense. I don’t trust any of these artificial sugars. Tbh I don’t trust anything that booms over night. Like the new Ozempic(?)… never heard of it, and then suddenly it’s a miracle drug. No thank you lol

I had been taught that craving sweets means you're deficient in protein; chocolate, magnesium.

I drink a lot of artificial sweeteners in my Diet Snapple Tea, but it doesn't cause me to have any sweet cravings. I just prefer not drinking plain water. Mineral Water would be Ok, but it's not free.

'First of all, there's fruit'. And fruit = sugar. End of story.
@claymor82416 күн бұрын
I eat a lot of raw fruit, especially as a snack, and I have just been diagnosed as prediabetic. For years I have avoided sugar, other than in raw fruit, and eat few saturated fats, no junk food, no sugary drinks (including fruit juice), very little alcohl. So it’s a struggle to think where my extra weight (10 kilos over healthy BMI) and expanded waistline came from, other than from fruit.
@iknow21456 күн бұрын
if you avoid saturated fats, gives the impression you may have a high intake of refined seed oils along with carbohydrates. perhaps this is the culprit causing your metabolic issues. maybe a more keto leaning diet would help you.

I disagree that chocolate is good for you or a good source of magnesium, but most people think that so I can overlook it, but I've always known agave to spike blood sugar. So that seems weird to me. Aspartame was developed AS a neurotoxin that they discovered is sweet. And it breaks down into phenylalanine, which most of us can process unless you have PKU. But after knowing someone with PKU and that getting more phenylalanine than they can process induces neurological problems I think they're just canaries, and too much does the same to the rest of us just at higher doses. I also find high proline will induce depression, even vegan sources, like a big bowl of black beans. I like cranberry sauce as a condiment but making sure its free from hfcs is key. But cranberries help clear out sugar loving pathogens. Pair those types of foods up with your sweets. And try to always have fiber with your sugar.

A little Stevia mixed into Xylitol or Erythritol to make them taste sweeter and lower the cost is excellent or by themselves . A little disappointed these two were not mentioned.
