This is great, useful knowledge to base a healthy lifelong diet on. One very important food he leaves out is GARLIC. Garlic has many health-supporting properties, including anti-inflammatory effects.

Glad to be watching you on KZbin. Have followed your nutrition studies and teaching for decades (since the 80s? 90s? UCLA). So sensible and clear. Only today started watching your YT videos; subscribed.

As someone who has been strugling with high levels of inflamation for decades,I find this video to be pretty on point and alligned with what I learned about dieting over the years. The only critique I might have is that this video suggest using soy for proteins and mentions absolutely noting about possibly the best food for diabetics and anti inflamation: eggs. Eggs have a glycemic index of zero and come chuck full of protein ,vitamins and minerals ,also the protein in eggs is by far the most diggestable bioavailable protein (where a lot of the veggie proteins are particularly low on the bioavailability factor)

Do WHISKEYS also have NUTRITIVE PROPERTIES?
@dennisward4321 сағат бұрын
Lots of products based on plants can have good properties but they also contain lots of bad properties. Alcohol and tobacco and other addictive drugs, including sugar plus all the defensive toxins in plants such as gluten, lectins, oxalates, phytates. They may also have heavy metals in them and don't get me started with the damage done by spraying glyphosate, herbicides,etc.
@jakobw13519 сағат бұрын
@dennisward43 Yes but - many centenarians and other well aging people, consume whiskey and other hard drinks, quite successfully. What do you say to that?
@dennisward4316 сағат бұрын
@@jakobw135 Of course they do. Just as many people who smoke tobacco live to a ripe old age. Does that mean it is healthy?

I would be embarrassed to be so obese while telling others how to eat. Better to pay attention to Dr. Michael Greger and Dr. Joel Fuhrman.
