Another theme that makes me emotional. I can't even explain why, it just does. Bless this amazing soundtrack.

maybe the long lost memory of you being lost in a giant dungeon while listening to this haunting music for 2 hours straight

This is one of those games I WISH I had as a child. This soundtrack is so unbelievably good. This song in particular strikes a chord in me and makes me emotional. It's beauty and tragedy intertwined in such a short loop.

I remember hearing this in Super Mario Bros. Crossover. Just simply play as Cecil, Bartz or Shadow with the Map Skin set to Super Mario Land 2.

this is a rare song that sounds significantly better on stereo speakers than with headphones. The sound waves from the two channels bounce off each other to create a unique sound

The 2nd video game I ever bought with my own money, after Super Mario Land. Got a few of my friends at school hooked on the series, I still remember us being stoked whenever one of us learned about the sequels.

Got this when it was new, and we were dirt poor. It always meant so much when my mom would splurge as much as she could back then. And man, what a gem I picked. It was…. such an emotional game for a kid in his single digits.

My family bought a grey Gameboy from a Second Hand market in a small village we moved out of when I was around 7. Although, we bought the Gameboy when I was around 5 and it came with 2 games as part of the purchase: Zelda Links Awakening (no colour version) and Quest... I spend weeks in this world and remember this moment perfectly clearly and I was heartbroken. I'm an adult now and it feels like another life.

I remember having played this game as a child. And it's soundtrack always gave me chills and goosebumps. 30 years later, nothing has changed. I got this soundtrack featured by KZbin and the goosebumps are back. Impressive.

I remember waking up on a Saturday morning and playing this game 30+ years ago. I got to the end area and didn't save enough health flasks and was so pissed... but ofc I played it again enjoyably and was ready the next time. I only remembered to search for this OST since the new one is coming out... great Japanese commercial too.

To win the war, only to find out you still have to lose what you love. The burden of those who had damn near everything taken from them, only to be tasked with fixing, rebuilding and guarding that which was destroyed by others. So others can live a better life. The storys of the past, hollywood, etc. For the most part, lied to us. Those who claim manage a victory for good when evil rears its head, rarely get the girl, rarely have a happy ending free of trauma or injustice they fought to end.
